Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may increase the reliability of transmission of a Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) by transmitting repeated copies of the PUCCH, according to a repetition pattern spanning one or more slots. In an intra-slot mode, more than one copy may be transmitted within each configured slot, with or without frequency hopping. The number of copies as well as a temporal gap between the transmission of successive copies may be configured by the network. The repetition pattern may or may not be interrupted by slot boundaries. In an inter-slot mode, one copy is transmitted per configured slot. Different copies may be transmitted in different directions, according to a spatial consistency pattern. The UE may perform repeated transmission of PUCCHs to different Transmission-Reception Points (TRPs) using respectively different timing advances and/or transmit power levels.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. To monitor a PDCCH for CA, a UE may receive PDCCH candidates in a plurality of configured component carriers (CCs). In response to a determination that a maximum number of virtual CCs that the UE is capable of monitoring for PDCCH is smaller than a number of the plurality of configured CCs, the UE groups the plurality of configured CCs into CC groups based at least in part on SCS numerologies and PDCCH monitoring configurations corresponding to span patterns within a slot of a DL subframe. The UE determines a maximum number of blind decoding operations and non-overlapped CCEs for each of the CC groups. The UE then monitors at least a first portion of the PDCCH candidates based on the maximum number of blind decoding operations and non-overlapped CCEs for each of the CC groups.

Abstract: Systems and methods for using clear channel assessment (CCA) on a channel prior to transmitting the channel are disclosed. A wireless transmission system may perform omnidirectional CCA using a CCA power threshold that is calculated based on a number of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) transmitted by the wireless transmission system per SSB burst or per synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel (SS/PBCH) block measurement timing configuration (SMTC) window, or on a number of transmit (Tx) antennas used. A wireless transmission system may perform directional CCA on one or more Rx beams that correspond to one or more intended Tx beams using CCA power thresholds calculated based on an equivalent isotropic radiated power (EIRP) of the one or more intended Tx beams to determine directional availability of the channel. A wireless transmission system may determine a CCA power threshold based on a scaling between an actual CCA bandwidth and a nominal CCA bandwidth.
