    Abstract: In a general aspect, a User Equipment (UE) in a cellular communications network receives a Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling message from a base station communicatively coupled to the UE over a communications channel. The UE accesses a search space in the RRC signaling message. The UE identifies a fallback Downlink Control Information (DCI) Information Element (IE) included in the search space. The UE determines whether an aggregation factor is indicated in the fallback DCI IE for shared channel communications with the base station, over multiple slots in the communications channel. The UE determines an uplink/downlink (UL/DL) configuration for transmission on the communications channel. The UE schedules an aggregated transmission over multiple slots in the communications channel based on the aggregation factor and the uplink/downlink configuration.

    Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques for controlling uplink transmissions including cancelling previously scheduled transmissions are described. A described technique includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE), a configuration information that provides a search space set configuration associated with a control resource set (CORESET) to monitor for an uplink cancellation indication; receiving, by the UE, scheduling information that schedules one or more uplink transmissions; monitoring, by the UE via a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), for the uplink cancellation indication based on the configuration information; receiving, by the UE via the PDCCH, a downlink control information (DCI) message that comprises the uplink cancellation indication; and cancelling, by the UE, at least part of the one or more uplink transmissions in response to the uplink cancellation indication.

    Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques for transmit power control (TPC) in wireless communication systems are described. A described technique performed by a user equipment (UE) includes signaling that enables transmit power control (TPC) accumulation; receiving, by the UE, downlink control information (DCI) messages corresponding to respective physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) transmission occasions; determining, by the UE, power control adjustment states for the PUSCH transmission occasions; and transmitting, by the UE, in the PUSCH transmission occasions in accordance with the power control adjustment states. Determining the power control adjustment states can include selectively applying TPC accumulation to one or more of the power control adjustment states based on a determination that at least one of the PUSCH transmission occasions is out-of-order based on an arrival ordering of the DCI messages.

    Abstract: Embodiments of dynamic multiplexing are described, including the transmission of preemption indication (PI) to indicate preemption of time-frequency resources. In some embodiments, a next Generation NodeB (gNB) is configured to transmit PIs in signaling to preempt an enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB) communications transmission with an ultra-reliable and low latency communications (URLCC) transmission. In some embodiments, a user equipment (UE) is configured to monitor a region of time-frequency resources, within a bandwidth part (BWP), for a PI. The PI indicates to the UE a portion of time-frequency resources that omit transmissions intended for the UE. In some embodiments, the gNB transmits the PI to the UE within preemption indication downlink control information (PI-DCI) in a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) in a control resource set (CORESET). In some embodiments, the BWP is defined according to a frequency domain location, a bandwidth, and a subcarrier spacing for a given numerology.
