    Abstract: Some embodiments of this disclosure are directed to apparatuses and method for establishing signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), useful signal power level (Es) and artificial noise power level (Noc) values for new radio (NR) performance requirements. The apparatuses and methods can include processing a received signal including the Es and Noc and determining a baseband signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) degradation based on the signal power level, the artificial noise power level, and the radio-frequency noise power level. The apparatuses and methods can then determine a compensated SNR degradation, as a performance requirement, based on the baseband SNR degradation and the radio-frequency noise power level.

    Abstract: A wireless communication device is disclosed for setting transmission slot priorities in a broadcast environment. Upon receipt of a broadcast signal from the wireless communication environment, the UE analyzes the received signal to determine time slots in which members of its own group are transmitting. The UE then sets priorities of previously-used time slots to be low for allocation purposes. When the UE needs to transmit a signal, it first performs allocation of time slots within the signal frame. This allocation is performed based on the earlier-set priorities such that time slots identified as being used by other group members will not be used unless necessary.

    Abstract: An apparatus of user equipment (UE) includes processing circuitry coupled to a memory, where to configure the UE for New Radio (NR) vehicle-to-everything (V2X) sidelink communication. The processing circuitry is to determine a set of candidate resources of the UE from a sidelink resource pool, the sidelink resource divided into multiple time slots, frequency channels, and frequency sub-channels. Sidelink control information (SCI) is encoded for transmission to a second UE via a physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH). The SCI indicates a plurality of transmission resources of the set of candidate resources. A transport block is mapped across the plurality of transmission resources. A physical sidelink shared channel (PSSCH) is encoded for transmission to the second UE using the plurality of transmission resources, the PSSCH encoded to include the mapped transport block.

    Abstract: Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE) and methods of communication are generally described herein. The UE may attempt to detect synchronization signals, including Long Term Evolution (LTE) synchronization signals from eNBs, New Radio (NR) synchronization signals from gNBs, and sidelink synchronization signals (SLSSs) from other UEs. The UE may prioritize an LTE synchronization signal over an SLSS, and may prioritize an NR synchronization signal over an SLSS. If the UE does not detect an LTE synchronization signal or an NR synchronization signal, the UE may select an SLSS. The UE may prioritize an SLSS from a UE that is directly synchronized to an eNB or a gNB over an SLSS from another UE that is indirectly synchronized to an eNB or a gNB.

The UE may detect one or more LTE synchronization signals from an eNB over an LTE Uu interface between the UE and the eNB. The LTE synchronization signals may be detected in resources allocated for LTE communication. The LTE synchronization signals may be detected in accordance with an LTE protocol. The UE may determine, based on the LTE synchronization signals, a reference timing and a reference frequency for NR vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication over an NR PC5 interface with another UE.
