Abstract:
An auxiliary input device for virtual keyboard sized on a displayed virtual keyboard of a capacitive touch panel, comprising: a membrane and a plurality of conducting keys. The membrane has a plurality of bulged supporting members arranged in correspondence to the plurality of virtual keys of the virtual keyboard, wherein a trough is arranged facing the virtual keyboard between every two adjacent supporting members. The conducting keys are arranged atop each of the supporting member, and kept at a predetermined distance from the capacitive touch panel, the conducting keys selectively operable to establish contact with the capacitive touch panel. The auxiliary input device for virtual keyboard is a thin structure which provides tactile feedback and pressure-sensitivity just like a physical keyboard, and is advantageous in its low cost construction, easy portability and the lack of additional power consumption.
Abstract:
The invention provides a system and method for controlling multimedia communication quality in a handheld device. The handheld device receives and transmits multimedia data via a wireless network. First, the predetermined video coding parameters are used to code a video stream and transmit the coded video stream via the wireless network, and receive a multimedia data via the wireless network. Next, the quality of the wireless network is detected. When the quality is poor, the video coding parameters are changed. Finally, the quality of received multimedia data is detected. When the quality of received multimedia data is poor, the video coding parameters are changed.
Abstract:
The alignment mark and method for making the same are described. In one embodiment, a semiconductor structure includes a substrate having a device region and an alignment region; a first shallow trench isolation (STI) feature in the alignment region and having a first depth D1; a second STI feature in the device region and having a second depth D2; an alignment mark with patterned features overlying the first STI in the alignment region; and a gate stack formed on an active region in the device region.
Abstract:
A method and system for enabling an auxiliary system to retrieve the system information from a computing device are disclosed. Specifically, one embodiment of the present invention sets forth a method, which includes the steps of requesting for the system information from an embedded controller of the computing device through a first bi-directional data bus if the computing device is shut down, requesting for the system information from the computing device through the first bi-directional bus during the boot-up sequence of the computing device, and requesting for the system information from the computing device through a general purpose input/output (GPIO) after the computing device completes the boot-up sequence.
Abstract:
A heat dissipation module includes a housing, and a fan including an outer frame, a first rotor, a base, a second rotor and a driving device. The first rotor includes a shaft, a first hub and a plurality of first rotor blades disposed around the first hub. The base is disposed in the outer frame. The second rotor includes a plurality of second rotor blades, and is coupled to the shaft of the first rotor and disposed next to the first rotor. The driving device is supported by the base for driving the first rotor and the second rotor simultaneously.

Abstract:
A water-cooled heat dissipation device for a notebook computer includes primarily a pad and a heat dissipation device at a bottom of the pad having an air through-hole. The heat dissipation structure has a fan below a U-shape plate, a groove of which is latched with parallel fins being transfixed with a metallic tube in a detouring way, with two ends of the metallic tube being connected to a water pump, allowing cooling water to circulate in the metallic tube to cool down the fins. The heat dissipation structure is fixed below the air through-hole of the pad with the two ends of the U-shape plate. In usage, a notebook computer is put on the pad, and temperature of the notebook computer is conducted to the pad. Furthermore, cold wind is blown to the pad by the fan, such that the notebook computer can be cooled down rapidly.
