摘要: A float actuated valve assembly for battery electrolyte replenishment is disclosed. A housing engages an opening in a battery cell. An inlet in the housing is connetable to a water source. A valve in the housing controls the water flow to the cell. The valve is connected by a link to a four bar mechanism that is attached to a float. The float is buoyantly supported and rises and falls in response to the electrolyte level within the cell opening and closing the valve to admit or halt the flow of water to the cell. A baffle prevent fouling of the mechanism by splashing electrolyte. A flash arrester is positioned between the valve and the inlet to quench hydrogen-oxygen explosions between cells. The float is adjustable for different sized cells. A side viewable electrolyte level indicator is provided in the housing. Flash arresters for venting gas are also mounted.

摘要: A method of monitoring the characteristics of a delay locked loop (DLL) in a memory device during a test mode is provided. The DLL generates an internal clock signal based on an external clock signal. The external and internal clock signals are normally synchronized. DLL constantly responds to variations in operating condition of the memory device to keep the external and internal clock synchronized. The method involves preventing the DLL from responding to a change in operating condition such as a change in the supply voltage of the memory device during a test mode.

摘要: Ultrasonic transducers and tomographic techniques determine the temperature of a semiconductor substrate holder at all points on the substrate holder, thereby allowing comprehensive real-time control of the temperature of the substrate holder during a process, such as a semiconductor wafer etching process. An apparatus for measuring temperatures of respective portions of a substrate holder that supports a substrate (e.g., a semiconductor wafer) on which a process (e.g., an etching process) is carried out, and for controlling the temperatures of the respective portions in response to the measured temperatures, includes: an arrangement of at least one ultrasonic transducer arranged and configured to transmit ultrasonic energy through the substrate holder, and a data processor configured to calculate, during the process, the temperatures of the respective portions of the substrate holder based on respective propagation time delays of the ultrasonic energy through the respective portions.

摘要: A document processing device having an evaluation region disposed along a transport path between an input and output receptacle capable of processing both currency bills and identification cards. An evaluation unit enables entry of source identification information before or after processing currency bills. Memory is adapted to store source identification information for multiple batches of currency. Multiple batches are placed in the processing, device for multiple batch processing. The evaluation region includes detectors for detecting predetermined characteristics of currency bills and distinguishing identification cards from currency. During processing, the identification card, or other separator card, is sent to a predetermined output receptacle designated as a reject receptacle. Currency that is rejected is sent to the reject receptacle. Rejected currency is separated into batches by the identification cards sent to the reject receptacle during processing.

摘要: A device for producing a workable material usable to form supports for supporting components, which may be stator coils, in a generator. In at least one embodiment, the supports may be braces positioned between adjacent stator coils. The device may include a housing having a heater for heating a workable material. The workable material may be received through a tube coupled to the housing. The workable material may be heated to a minimum temperature and ejected from the device using an ejector. The ejector may be controlled using a trigger coupled to the housing or to a handle coupled to the housing. The device may eject a workable material into a void between adjacent generator components, such as stator coils, to provide a formed in place support structure for limiting movement of the coils during operation of the generator.

摘要: A processing chamber having an improved sealing means is disclosed. The processing chamber comprises a lower element, an upper element, and a seal energizer. The seal energizer is configured to maintain the upper element against the lower element to maintain a processing volume. The seal energizer is further configured to generate a sealing pressure in a seal-energizing cavity that varies non-linearly with a processing pressure generated within the processing volume. In one embodiment, the seal energizer is configured to minimize a non-negative net force against one of the upper element and the lower element above a threshold value. The net force follows the equation P1*A1−P2*A2, where P1 equals the sealing pressure, P2 equals the processing pressure, A1 equals a cross-sectional area of the seal-energizing cavity, and A2 equals a cross-sectional area of the processing volume.

It involves reacting a slurry comprising non-peptized boehmite with a magnesium source. There is no necessity to wash or filter the product. It can be spray dried directly to form microspheres or can be extruded to form shaped bodies. The product can be combined with other ingredients in the manufacture of catalysts, absorbents, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, detergents, and other commodity products that contain anionic clays.
