    Abstract: A signal sending method, a signal receiving method, and an apparatus are provided. The method includes: generating, by a terminal device, a first symbol group that carries a first preamble, where the first symbol group includes four groups of symbols; and sending, by the terminal device, the first symbol group to a network device in K groups of uplink subframes, where any two groups of uplink subframes in the K groups of uplink subframes are not adjacent, each group of uplink subframes in the K groups of uplink subframes include at least one uplink subframe, and uplink subframes included in the group of uplink subframes are continuous subframes, where K is a positive integer greater than 1 and less than or equal to 4.

    Abstract: This application provides a reference signal sequence transmission method. The method includes: generating a reference signal sequence based on a frame number of a radio frame; mapping at least a part of reference signals in the reference signal sequence to a resource position that corresponds to the radio frame and that is used to transmit the at least a part of reference signals; and sending the at least a part of reference signals or an orthogonal reference signal at the resource position, where the orthogonal reference signal is obtained by multiplying the at least a part of reference signals by a preset orthogonal code.

    Abstract: The present application relates to the mobile communications field, and in particular, to a technology for determining a carrier center frequency in a wireless communications system. In a method for determining a carrier center frequency, a carrier center frequency used by a base station and UE to communicate is determined according to a frequency band starting frequency, an absolute radio frequency channel number, a frequency band offset, and a relative radio frequency channel number. According to a solution provided in this application, a time for searching for a cell by a terminal can be reduced, power consumption of the terminal can be reduced, and a battery life can be extended.

    Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a reference signal sending method, a reference signal receiving method, and an apparatus. A reference signal sending method includes: obtaining a reference signal sequence, where the reference signal sequence includes multiple bits and exclusive OR of every two bits separated by one bit in the multiple bits is 1; performing Gaussian Minimum Shift Keying GMSK modulation on the reference signal sequence; and sending a modulated reference signal sequence. In the embodiments of the present invention, a reference signal sequence is designed as a sequence in which exclusive OR of every two bits separated by one bit is 1, GMSK modulation is performed on the reference signal sequence, and the same reference signal sequence is used to perform channel estimation during GMSK demodulation. Compared with a case in which a pseudo random sequence is used as a pilot symbol, channel estimation accuracy is improved.
