摘要: An oil fence having a directional control device consisting of rudder plates or wind receiver plates secured to vertical plates or skirts of the fence at an angle thereto, which are subjected to a force due to relative movement of water or wind to cause the fence to position at an angle relative to the direction of the movement of the water or wind, whereby when the oil fence is being tugged by a towing boat the oil fence line is positioned at an angle without being subjected to any bending moment or any other undue force so as to collect or recover pollutants, e.g., spilt oil effectively from water surface.

摘要: An image is recorded by ejecting two or more ink compositions on a porous layer that contains inorganic microparticles and a water-soluble resin and has a porosity [%] of 50% or more with a maximum total ejection amount (mL/m2) set at less than 90% of an absorption capacity (mL/m2) of diethylene glycol in the porous layer. The porosity=(absorption capacity of diethylene glycol (mL/m2))/(thickness of porous layer (μm))×100. The maximum total ejection amount=(maximum ejection amount of one dot (mL/m2))×(total amount of ink (%)). An inkjet recording method capable of inhibiting color change from occurring to cause color irregularities when papers are stacked on an image portion within a relatively short time after recording in high-speed processing or processing of a large number of sheets, and capable of stably obtaining images recorded with desired color tone.

摘要: A mobile device and a communication method that enable to collect location information without imposing a load on the mobile device and the network. In the mobile device, a communication module receives a notification signal including a cell ID from a base station and a determining module determines whether the cell ID included in the notification signal corresponds to a cell ID stored in a storage module. A positioning module performs measurements of the location and the communication module notifies the location information thus measured. Thereby, a management center is capable of collecting the location information of the mobile device located in a given area and it is possible to realize processing to efficiently collect the location information by reducing a load on the mobile device and the network.

摘要: Provided is a mesh data creation method allowing appropriate expression of population densities while making a balance between accuracy and granularity. In the mesh data creation method, when the number of samples in a region of reference mesh data with a predetermined size is not less than a threshold, divided mesh data is created by dividing the region of the reference mesh data. Namely, each portion with a high population density can be expressed by a fine region of mesh data and each portion with a low population density by a coarse region of mesh data. The above makes it feasible to prevent meshes from becoming too fine to ensure accuracy or, conversely, from becoming too coarse to maintain granularity, thereby resulting in failing to achieve a detailed grasp of population densities, and thus to achieve appropriate expression of population densities while making a balance between accuracy and granularity.

摘要: A mobile station, a communication system, and a communication method that are capable of efficiently collecting location information of any user. A communicating module receives a positioning request including attribute specifying information from a management center, a determining module determines whether measurements of the location are necessary or not based on the attribute specifying information in the received positioning request and the attribute information stored in advance. Then, when the determining module determines that measurements of the location are necessary, a positioning module performs measurements of the location and sends location information thus measured to the management center. Accordingly, it is possible to collect the location information of the mobile station that agrees with an attribute that the management center desires and therefore, it is possible to provide an attentive service and the like based on the location information.

A total content of at least one pigment selected from the group of pigments is 10% or more of the total amount of pigments in the second layer. A Cobb water absorption degree within a contact time of 120 sec in a water absorption test at a surface of the first layer of the base paper provided with the first layer is than 2.0 g/m2 or less, and a water absorption amount within a contact time of 0.5 sec determined by a Bristow test at a surface of the second layer is from 2 mL/m2 to 8 mL/m2.
