Abstract:
Systems are disclosed for power systems and enclosures having an improved compressor drive. In examples, a power system includes a generator to be driven by an engine. The generator is coupled to the engine on a first side of the generator and has a clutch extending from a second side of the generator opposite the engine. The clutch is coupled to the engine. A compressor is positioned at the second side of the generator opposite from the engine. The compressor comprising a shaft extending toward the generator and configured to be driven by the clutch.
Abstract:
Configurations of internal components of a welder-generator are provided to improve efficiency of the cooling of the internal components. Configurations are provided in which a single fan, such as an engine fan, drives a single airflow path through the welder-generator. Configurations are provided in which a primary engine fan drives a first airflow path and a secondary generator fan drives a second airflow path through the welder-generator. Internal components are thermally aligned such that air circulates first through components with low critical operating temperatures and last through components with higher critical operating temperatures.
Abstract:
A portable engine-driven system comprising an engine having an air intake passage, a fuel tank operatively coupled to the engine, a valve, and a pressure regulator. The valve may be coupled between the fuel tank and the air intake passage and configured to transition between a first position and a second position. The first position may allow fuel vapor to flow between the fuel tank and the air intake passage and the second position may inhibit the fuel vapor from flowing between the fuel tank and the air intake passage. The pressure regulator may be positioned in line between the fuel tank and the air intake passage.
Abstract:
A portable engine-driven system comprising an engine, wherein the engine is configured to drive a generator, a fuel tank, and a high pressure fuel pump operatively coupled to the engine and the fuel tank. The high pressure fuel pump may be positioned within the fuel tank and configured to pump fuel from the fuel tank to the engine. A check valve and a fuel pressure regulator may be positioned in line between the high pressure fuel pump and the engine, wherein the pressure regulator is configured to regulate a pressure of the fuel between the high pressure fuel pump and the engine. The pressure regulator may be positioned within the fuel tank.

Abstract:
Power systems having reduced operating noise and associated methods are disclosed. An example power system includes an engine, a generator, a driveshaft, and a pulley system. The driveshaft may include at least one coupler configured to dampen vibration transferred by the driveshaft. The pulley system may include a first pulley and a second pulley that are drivingly coupled to one another via one or more belts. The generator may be configured to generate electric power using a rotational force received form the engine via the driveshaft and pulley system.

Abstract:
An example fuel fill housing assembly for an engine driven welder/generator system that includes a cap attachment opening having a first diameter and extending into a chamber of the fuel fill housing assembly and a fill neck having a second diameter smaller than the first diameter is disclosed. In examples, the cap attachment opening and the fill neck are operable to receive a nozzle of an automatic fill dispenser nozzle and a tube to fluidly connect the chamber with a fluid container system.
