Abstract: A motor unit, particularly for operating machines, comprising an internal combustion engine provided with a cooling system that comprises a first heat exchanger fluidically connected to a cooling circuit obtained in said motor, and ventilation means adapted to generate an air flow through the first heat exchanger; the motor being further provided with a supercharging system that comprises a turbine mounted along an exhaust duct, a compressor mounted along a suction duct and a second heat exchanger placed along the suction duct, downstream of said compressor. The motor unit comprises fluid conveying means adapted to make a flow of cooling air pass through the second heat exchanger, such flow being generated by the ventilation means.

Abstract: A heat management system for air-cooled engines suitable to power yard care equipment or vehicles. The system may generally comprise an engine, a blower configured to blow ambient cooling air across the engine, and an exhaust system comprising an exhaust header and a muffler. The exhaust header has an inlet end which receives heated exhaust gas from the engine and an outlet end fluidly coupled to the muffler. An air control baffle is configured to redirect a portion of the cooling air from the blower towards the exhaust header and the muffler to enhance cooling the exhaust system. The system may further include an outermost protective shield exposed to equipment operators and an inner heat barrier or shield located between the muffler and protective shield. The system is designed to ameliorate both radiative and convective sources of heat transfer to maintain the protective shield at temperatures below established industry standards.

Abstract: Disclosed example power systems include an enclosure, an engine within the enclosure; and a generator within the enclosure and configured to convert mechanical power from the engine to electrical power. The enclosure includes a first air inlet on a first end of the enclosure, a first air outlet on a top of the enclosure, and a second air inlet on a side of the enclosure to provide a second airflow through the enclosure. The power system further includes an engine fan configured to generate a first airflow from the first air inlet to the first air outlet to cool the engine. The power system includes a diverter located below the first air outlet and configured to direct environmental contaminants away from at least one of the engine or the generator, where the environmental contaminants enter the enclosure through the first air outlet.

Abstract: A fan shroud and a blower device are provided. The fan shroud includes a shroud wall surface and a plurality of ventilation openings. An engine mounts in the enclosure toward the first end from the partition wall, and an alternator driven by the engine mounts in the enclosure toward the second end from the partition wall. The engine includes an engine cooling fan that faces the first end to drive engine cooling air received from the first air duct toward the first end, and the alternator includes an alternator cooling fan that faces the second end to drive alternator cooling air received from the second air duct toward the second end.
