摘要: A system and method to ensure the proper operation of a power supply unit in an electronic device. The electronic device has a chassis with a length and a width that includes one area having electronic components. A system fan is located in the chassis relative to the electronic components to generate air flow in the direction of the length of the chassis through the electronic components. A power supply unit is located in parallel to the system fan relative to the width of the chassis. The power supply unit includes an AC input, a DC output and an internal fan. A controller is operable to control the system fan to reduce the air flow when the power supply unit turns on AC power to the AC input, or wakes up from a cold redundant state and outputs DC power from the DC output.

Said protective cover (400) is characterised in that it comprises:—openings (401, 402, 403, 404) designed to generate different cooling air streams (F1, F2, F3, F4) for heat dissipation requirements of each of the power, control and filtering modules;—the openings of the protective cover (400) being distributed into: a first set of openings (401) designed to be positioned facing the fins of a first heat sink coupled to the power module; a second set of openings (402) designed to be positioned facing the control module; the two sets of openings (401, 402) being separated by a barrier wall (405) so as to create a first radial cooling air stream (F1) for said power module and a second radial cooling air stream (F2) for said control module; and a third set of openings (403) designed to be positioned facing the fins of a second heat sink coupled to condensers of the filtering module so as to create a third radial cooling air stream (F3) for said filtering module.

The power conversion device includes a power conversion circuit unit that converts direct current into alternating current using a semiconductor switching element, a heatsink on which the power conversion circuit unit is mounted, and which has a first passage through which a cooling medium is caused to pass, and a frame body that houses the power conversion circuit unit, seals the power conversion circuit unit between the frame body and the heatsink, and has a second passage through which a cooling medium is caused to pass, wherein the first passage and second passage are connected at an interface between the heatsink and frame body, thereby configuring a cooling passage.

The heat-dissipating structure comprises: an electronic element array, having a first end and an opposite second end, electronic elements in the array producing heat during operation; a heat-dissipating fan, disposed at the first end of the array and used to conduct cooling air to flow between the first end and the second end to cool the electronic elements in the array; and a control apparatus, for controlling operation of the fan, the control apparatus controlling the fan so that the fan rotates at a first rotation direction within a first time period to conduct the cooling air to flow from the second end to the first end, and rotates at a second rotation direction contrary to the first rotation direction within a second time period to conduct the cooling air to flow from the first end to the second end.
