Abstract: Embodiments of a user equipment (UE) configured for NR V2X sidelink selection and reselection are generally described herein. In some embodiments, a selected set of candidate resources are scheduled using a single sidelink control information (SCI) within a scheduling window. In some embodiments, sidelink resources are excluded based on a HARQ round trip time. In some embodiments, sidelink control signalling supports the reservation and indication of multiple sidelink resources.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and storage media for reporting geo-information in wireless communications networks are described. In embodiments, an evolved nodeB (eNB) may configure a user equipment (UE) to report its geo-information, and use the reported geo-information for scheduling vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) communications. The eNB may also allocate radio frequency (RF) resources for V2V communications based on reported geo-information. In embodiments, a UE may report its geo-information based on a configuration message received from an eNB, receive scheduling information for V2V communications, and determine or select RF resources on which to transmit or receive V2V communications. Abstract: Embodiments of a Next Generation Node-B (gNB) and User Equipment (UE) are generally described herein. The gNB may transmit control signaling to configure transmission of position reference signals (PRSs) by a plurality of transmit-receive points (TRPs). The gNB may receive, from the UE, for each of the TRPs, a set of signal location parameters (SLPs). The gNB may perform an iterative process to estimate a position of the UE. For a current iteration, the gNB may: determine a current estimate of the position of the UE based on a current plurality of sets of SLPs; and determine a cost function for each of the current plurality of sets of SLPs. The gNB may determine, based on the cost functions, a next plurality of sets of SLPs for a next estimate of the position of the UE.

Abstract: Embodiments of a User Equipment (UE) and methods for communication are generally described herein. The UE may select, from a plurality of short transmission time intervals (TTIs), a short TTI for a vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) sidelink transmission by the UE. The short TTIs may occur within a legacy TTI. The short TTIs may be allocated for V2V sidelink transmissions by non-legacy UEs. The legacy TTI may be allocated for V2V sidelink transmissions by legacy UEs. The UE may transmit, in accordance with the legacy TTI, a legacy physical sidelink control channel (PSCCH) to indicate, to legacy UEs, the V2V sidelink transmission by the UE. The UE may transmit, in accordance with the selected short TTI, a short PSCCH (sPSCCH) to indicate, to non-legacy UEs, the V2V sidelink transmission by the UE.

Abstract: Cellular (e.g., LTE or UMTS) and global navigation satellite system (GNSS) based technologies can provide ubiquitous and seamless synchronization solution for LTE-based vehicle to everything (V2X) or Proximity Services synchronization (ProSe) services. For example, by using joint GNSS timing references and LTE cellular network timing references for V2X or ProSe system synchronization benefits of using GNSS technologies to improve synchronization procedure for LTE based V2X or ProSe services can be enabled, including: (1) accurate and stable timing, (2) availability of a global and stable timing reference and (3) ability to propagate GNSS timing by user equipment having sufficient GNSS signal quality.

Abstract: A User Equipment (UE) device or network system facilitates direct device-to-device (D2D) communication with another UE device, in which a single scheduling assignment indicates the transmission of packet data units, their corresponding retransmissions, and a mapping scheme into an available resource pool. The UE device operates to switch between a D2D communication and a cellular network communication. A single SA transmission from the UE enables the D2D communication by providing mapping parameters for decoding a subsequent SA transmission and a detection of the PDUs within sub-frames between two SA transmissions.

Abstract: A computer-readable storage medium stores instructions to configure a UE for joint channel estimation of uplink transmissions in a Fifth Generation New Radio (5G NR) and beyond wireless network, and to cause the UE to perform operations. The operations include decoding DCI or higher layer signaling received from a base station. The DCI or the higher layer signaling indicates a number of PUSCH repetitions forming the uplink transmissions. The operations further include decoding higher layer signaling received from the base station, the higher layer signaling indicating a size of a time domain window (TDW) associated with the uplink transmissions. The TDW has a number of slots equal to the size. Each of the PUSCH repetitions within the TDW is associated with a same carrier phase and a same transmit power.
