A base station determines a reference signal pattern comprising at least one resource element, generates a bitmap indicator indicating whether zero transmission power is assigned to the at least one resource element of the reference signal pattern, and transmits the reference signal pattern and the bitmap indicator to a terminal. The terminal receives the reference signal pattern and the bitmap indicator, and processes a reference signal extracted according to the reference signal pattern and the bitmap indicator.

    摘要： Multiple Transport Blocks (TBs) or data streams are provided in Multi-Input-Multi-Output (MIMO) wireless communication systems herein. The base station (eNB) controls and schedules all downlink and uplink transmission to and from User Equipments, which need to receive an uplink grant from BS/eNB before they transmit. The uplink grant is carried as one of the control indication message in the downlink. The BS/eNB also transmits ACK/NACK information in the HARQ indication channel to the UE for each of the transport blocks. The UE detects the control indication to determine the actual uplink scheduling, as well as the HARQ indication. A method of transmitting a control indication message, which contains a detailed transmit format for one of the TBs to be transmitted, while allowing simultaneous communications on the other TBs is also enclosed.

    摘要： An apparatus and method for determining a transmission unit for data stream transmission in a wireless communication system in which multiple transmission and reception antennas are used and a receiver provides information on a data stream to be transmitted through a transmission unit. A fading estimator calculates fading values from the multiple transmission antennas to the multiple reception antennas. A channel quality estimator reverse-orders combined weights for multiple transmission units based on the fading values from the multiple transmission antennas to the multiple reception antennas, successively selects transmission units for data stream transmission among the reverse-ordered transmission units, determines a modulation and coding scheme (MCS) for each of the selected transmission units, and feeds back the MCS to a transmitter.

A transmission power control part carries out a power control operation for the spread reply signal with a power value that differs according to a packet data transmission rate of a packet data channel. A transmission part transmits the reply signal outputted by the transmission power control part through a radio channel.
