Abstract: Systems and methods for multi-beam Channel State Information (CSI) reporting are provided. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a second node connected to a first node in a wireless communication network for reporting multi-beam CSI includes reporting a rank indicator and a beam count indicator in a first transmission to the first node. The method also includes reporting a cophasing indicator in a second transmission to the first node. The cophasing indicator identifies a selected entry of a codebook of cophasing coefficients where the number of bits in the cophasing indicator is identified by at least one of the beam count indicator and the rank indicator. In this way, feedback for both a rank indicator and a beam count indicator may be possible which may allow robust feedback and variably sized cophasing and beam index indicators.

Abstract: The present application discloses a method and device in a node for wireless communications. A first node receives a reference signal in a first reference signal resource sub-pool; determines a first function according to the receiving behavior in the first reference signal resource sub-pool; transmits a first information block, the first information block being used to determine the first function; receives a second information block, the second information block being used to determine whether a target reference signal resource is associated with the first function; and transmits a third information block, the third information block indicating a first compressed CSI, the first compressed CSI being an input to the first function for generating a first CSI. The method above can configure relations between reference signals and AI algorithms/parameters flexibly to choose an optimal AI algorithm/parameter for compressing/decompressing CSI based on a reference signal, thus optimizing the CSI feedback performance.

Abstract: A network node signals to a wireless communication device which precoders in a codebook are restricted from being used. The network node in this regard generates codebook subset restriction signaling that, for each of one or more groups of precoders, jointly restricts the precoders in the group by restricting a certain component (e.g., a certain beam precoder) that the precoders in the group have in common. This signaling may be for instance rank-agnostic signaling that jointly restricts the precoders in a group without regard to the precoders' transmission rank. Regardless, the network node sends the generated signaling to the wireless communication device.

In embodiments, an apparatus for a user equipment (UE) may include memory to store a rank indicator (RI), a precoding matrix index (PMI), and a channel quality indicator (CQI) of channel state information (CSI) for the UE. The apparatus may further include circuitry to concatenate the RI, the PMI, and the CQI to produce a concatenated CSI element, generate a CSI report that includes the concatenated CSI element, and cause the CSI report to be transmitted to a base station within a single slot. Abstract: Example embodiments are presented for codebook subset restriction and precoder selection in wireless communications systems. For instance, an example method for codebook subset restriction at a user equipment (UE) is presented. In the example method, the UE can receive, from a network node such as a gNB, codebook subset restriction (CBSR) signaling for a first component common to precoders in a first group of codebooks. In an aspect of the present disclosure, a restriction of the first component maps to a restriction of a second component and the second component is common to precoders in a second group of codebooks. In addition, the example method includes restricting precoders selectable from a codebook in the second group of codebooks based on the second component. Network-side methods are presented, as well as example UEs and network nodes.

Abstract: Disclosed are a method for transmitting and receiving channel state information in wireless communication system and an apparatus therefor. Specifically, a method for transmitting, by a user equipment (UE), Channel State Information (CSI) in a wireless communication system may include: receiving, from a base station, a channel state information reference signal (CSI-RS) through multiple antenna ports; and reporting, to the base station, CSI, in which the CSI may include selection information indicating a plurality of codewords used for generating a precoding matrix in a codebook for reporting the CSI, and a power coefficient, a phase offset, and a phase shift value applied to each of the plurality of codewords in terms of a configured bandwidth, and the precoding matrix may be generated in units of subbands within the configured bandwidth based on a linear combination of the power coefficient, the phase offset, and the phase change value.
