    Abstract: An oil free screw compressor includes a low-pressure stage compressor body and a high-pressure stage compressor body. Power of a motor driven by an inverter is transmitted to the compressor bodies through gears. A low-pressure stage blow-off two-way valve is provided in a pipe branching off midway an air pipe connecting between the high-pressure stage compressor body and the low-pressure stage compressor body, and a high-pressure stage blow-off two-way valve is provided in a pipe branching off from a discharge air pipe provided on a discharge side of the high-pressure stage compressor body. During no-load operation, a controller gives a command to the inverter to make the rotational speed of the motor a set lower limit rotational speed, and also gives an open command to the low-pressure stage blow-off two-way valve.

    Abstract: An oil free screw compressor includes a compressor main body directly connected to a high speed motor via a drive side gear and a driven side gear having a uniform speed ratio. A bearing in a side of the high speed motor employs one having the same size as that of a bearing in a side of the compressor main body. The same material as a viscous seal provided at both end portions of a male rotor and a female rotor is used for a viscous seal provided at both end portions of a motor shaft. The high speed motor is driven by a high frequency type inverter. The electric motor side and the compressor main body side are made in a rotational shaft structure which is dummy symmetrical about a uniform gear portion.

    Abstract: In a capacity control method for an oil-free screw compressor, when an air consumption is larger than a set amount, a rotation frequency of a motor using an inverter to drive the compressor is set to be variable. When the air consumption is a set air amount or less, the inverter is controlled in such a manner that the rotation frequency of the motor is kept at a constant value. In this state, when an operation gas pressure of the compressor reaches an upper-limit value, an air release valve is opened to discharge the operation gas to the atmosphere. Additionally, the rotation frequency of the motor is lowered to a lower-limit value. Re-compression in the compressor can be prevented, and a compressor drive torque is lowered.

    Abstract: A multi-stage oil-free screw compressor includes: a suction throttle valve for controlling air intake into the compressor; a piston assembly for operating the suction throttle valve; and a structure for supplying a working pressure to the piston assembly. In order to reduce startup load at the time of startup of the compressor, the suction throttle valve is fully closed while a secondary side of a compressor body is opened to the atmosphere. When a negative pressure and the air pressure, that provide the working pressure, are used for slightly opening the suction throttle valve in order to switch the compressor to a loaded mode after a motor for driving the compressor is accelerated to its top speed, the air pressure is provided by a control pipe line that is defined by the same pipe line that forms a drain pipe line. This permits the control pipe line to be opened to the atmosphere as needed during the startup time. Thus is provided the oil-free screw compressor achieving improved startup reliability.
