摘要： A propellant tank for storing a liquid propellant A and supplying vapor produced by evaporation of part of the liquid propellant A to an external location comprises a tank body for storing the liquid propellant A, a mesh member arranged inside the tank body to cover a liquid surface of the liquid propellant A to divide an interior of the tank body into a liquid propellant storing area LA and a gas storing area GA by utilizing surface tension of the liquid propellant, and a heater arranged to a gas storing area GA side of the tank body to keep the gas storing area GA at higher temperature than temperature in the liquid propellant storing area LA. The tank body has a propellant inlet open into the liquid propellant storing area LA and a gas outlet open into the gas storing area GA.

摘要： A spark plug is provided which is constructed to ensure a higher degree of air-tightness. The spark plug includes a cylindrical metal housing within which an insulation porcelain is disposed. The housing has a hexagon head formed on an outer wall thereof and an annular chamber defined between itself and the insulation porcelain within which a sealing powder is disposed. The housing has an annular extension formed on the hexagon head. The annular extension is crimped inward to compress the sealing powder to enhance the air-tightness between the housing and the insulation porcelain. The annular extension has featured dimensions in order to ensure a desired degree of the air-tightness.

摘要： In making a layer jump or focus search on a multilayer optical disk having two or more signal recorded layers, an objective lens is moved in a focusing direction to focus a laser beam onto a desired signal recorded layer with focus servo kept OFF. Based on the number of times a focus error signal having an S-shaped characteristic obtained as a result of driving the objective lens exceeds a predetermined voltage level, arrival at the desired signal recorded layer is determined. In this state, the focus servo is made active at the time when the focus error signal first goes to the 0 level.

摘要： A seal system for a pressure vessel which includes a substantially rigid outer shell with at least one opening therein, an inner liner disposed within the outer shell against the inside surface thereof, an opening aligned with the opening of the outer shell and a boss disposed in the opening of the outer shell. The boss includes a neck portion for fitting in the opening of the outer shell, a flange portion extending outwardly from one end of the neck portion and having an upper surface and a lower surface, and a generally cylindrical hollow substantially aligned with the outer shell opening and having an inwardly projecting annular shoulder. The lip segment of the liner extends radially inwardly under the lower surface of the flange portion of the boss and then upwardly into the hollow of the boss, along the interior wall of the hollow until a portion of the lip segment rests on the shoulder.The seal system includes an attachment or coupling device having a generally cylindrical, downwardly extending lower insert section. The lower insert section includes an annular bottom wall in which is formed an annular recess opened downwardly. An upper head section is formed at the upper end of the insert section and includes a radially extending flange. The insert section is dimensioned to fit in and be received by the hollow of the boss above the shoulder. The seal system also includes a resilient O-ring for disposition in the recess of the insert section of the coupling device to protrude from the recess a sufficient distance to contact and seal against the lip section of the liner resting on the shoulder of the boss hollow, when the insert section is fitted into the hollow.
