Abstract: A dressing interface for connecting a negative-pressure source to a dressing may have a coupling member comprising an aperture, a first adhesive region having a first region peel strength, and a second adhesive region having a second region peel strength less than the first region peel strength. The dressing interface may further have a flange coupled to the coupling member, and a conduit housing coupled to the flange and extending through the aperture in the contact layer.

Abstract: A dressing for treating a tissue site, which may comprise a tissue interface and a cover comprising an expansion zone configured to be disposed over the tissue interface. The tissue interface may comprise a tissue contact layer having a treatment aperture in some examples. In more particular examples, the cover may be coupled to the tissue contact layer to form an expansion chamber between the expansion zone and the tissue contact layer. The cover may also comprise a base coupled to the tissue contact layer in some examples. Additionally, the tissue interface may further comprise an absorbent disposed within the expansion chamber in some embodiments. In some examples, the absorbent may be a manifold. Additionally or alternatively, the expansion chamber and the absorbent may be detachable.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and apparatuses for regulating the delivery of negative-pressure therapy are described. The system includes a negative-pressure source, an energy source, and a switch. The switch can include a first conductor electrically coupled to the negative-pressure source, a second conductor electrically coupled to the energy source, and a diaphragm having a first position electrically coupling the first conductor to the second conductor and a second position separated from the first conductor and the second conductor. The diaphragm is configured to move between the first position and the second position in response to a differential between a control pressure and a therapy pressure.

Abstract: A system or apparatus may include a container configured to collect fluid from a tissue site and regulate negative-pressure from a negative-pressure source. In some embodiments, the container may include a regulator that receives negative pressure directly from an unregulated negative-pressure source, such as a wall-suction outlet. The regulator may regulate down the pressure delivered to a collection chamber in the container, which may in turn be connected to a tissue site.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a dressing assembly may include a dressing bolster, an interface seal, and a base layer. The dressing bolster may include a first side, a second side, and a periphery. The interface seal may be coupled at the periphery of the dressing bolster. The base layer may include a base layer flange configured to be coupled to the dressing and to extend beyond the periphery of the dressing bolster. The dressing assembly may be suitable for treating a tissue site with reduced pressure and for creating an apposition force between a first portion of the tissue site and a second portion of the tissue site. Other systems, apparatus, and methods are disclosed.

Abstract: Some illustrative embodiments of an instillation assembly for treating a tissue site may include a fluid distribution lumen and a fluid hub that may define a fluid instillation pathway. The fluid distribution lumen may be defined by a first film layer and a second film layer, and the fluid hub may be positioned in fluid communication with the fluid distribution lumen. The instillation assembly may be used in combination with a reduced-pressure assembly that may define a reduced-pressure pathway separate from the fluid instillation pathway.

Abstract: A treatment system (100) for debriding an area of a tissue site is disclosed. In some embodiments, the system may include a debridement tool (122) which may be fluidly connected to a negative-pressure source (116) and a fluid source (118). The system may also include a control unit for interfacing with an operator and for regulating the application of negative pressure and delivery of treatment fluid to the debridement tool. The debridement tool may include multiple fluid conduits for delivering and removing fluid to and from the tissue site, as well as a brush (128) for assisting with the removal of necrotic tissue.

Abstract: In some examples, a dressing suitable for treating a tissue site may include a sealing member having a periphery and a central portion. The central portion of the sealing member may include a breathable zone having a higher vapor permeability than the periphery of the sealing member. Other features may be associated with the dressing including, by way of example and without limitation, a base layer, an adhesive, one or more wicking layers, and an absorbent layer. Other dressings, apparatus, systems, and methods are disclosed.

Abstract: Wounds dressings, systems, and methods are presented that involve using a patient's body heat to enhance liquid removal from the wound dressing through a high-moisture-vapor-transmission-rate drape. Additional heat sources or devices, such as nano-antennas or electrical heating elements, may be added or used separately to enhance the removal liquid from the wound dressing. Other dressings, systems, and methods are presented herein.
