摘要: An ink jet recording head for ejecting ink drops by expanding or shrinking a pressure generation chamber of an ink flow route forming member consisting of nozzle openings, the pressure generation chamber, an ink supply port, and a reservoir. Piezoelectric vibrators are disposed and fixed in a row with a predetermined pitch, to a piezoelectric vibrator support plate having excellent cutting properties and the piezoelectric vibrator support plate is fixed to a base made of material having a larger rigidity than the support plate. If the piezoelectric vibrator support plate receives reaction forces when ink is ejected, the base having a larger rigidity than the support plate resists the reaction force and suppresses undesired displacement of the contiguous piezoelectric vibrators.

摘要: An on-demand type ink jet print head, comprising: a plurality of ink tanks disposed at a lower position of a carriage to be independent of each other, pressure varying means provided on one of the tanks; an air release port communicating with the other one of the tanks; a head assembly provided on top of the tanks to communicate with the tanks through flow paths at both sides of the head assembly. The object of the invention is to achieve stable printing independent of the amount of ink in an ink tank and discharge bubbles in a nozzle head together with the ink.

摘要: The present invention provides a toner having: a toner mother particle; a first external additive including a first inorganic fine particle having a primary particle size distribution of 200 to 750 nm and a work function approximately equivalent to that of the toner mother particle; a second external additive including a second inorganic fine particle having an mean particle size smaller than that of the first inorganic fine particle and a work function smaller than that of the toner particle, a stirring member of a developing device and/or an inner wall of the developing device; and 0.01% to 0.3% by weight of a metal soap having a work function approximately equivalent to that of the toner mother particle.

摘要: The present invention provides a technique which, in a display device, can easily realize the inversion of an image displayed on a display panel in the lateral direction as well as in the vertical direction without requiring an external switching part for changing over a start pulse, the changeover of a signal and the like. In a display device which includes a plurality of pixels and drive circuits which drive the plurality of pixels, each drive circuit includes a first input/output terminal, a second input/output terminal, a scanning-direction changeover terminal, and a position designation terminal, in response to a voltage applied to the position designation terminal and a scanning-direction control signal applied to the scanning-direction changeover terminal, the scanning direction is switchable between the first scanning direction which acquires a start pulse from the first input/output terminal and outputs the start pulse from the second input/output terminal and the second scanning direction which acquires the start pulse from the second input/output terminal and outputs the start pulse from the first input/output terminal.

摘要: An electrostatic latent image is formed on an image carrier. A first roller is opposed to the image carrier with a gap in between. A second roller is in contact with the first roller such that toner of a one-component type is supplied onto the image carrier by way of the first roller to develop the electrostatic latent image as a visible toner image. A single power source supplies a bias voltage in which an AC voltage is superposed on a DC bias voltage. The bias voltage is supplied to the first roller through a first path and to the second roller through a second path. A resistor is provided on the first path between the first roller and a branching point of the first path and the second path.

When the apparatus includes an intermediate transfer medium, the work function of the toner is set to be larger than the work function of the surface of the intermediate transfer medium. In another embodiment, the work function ΦOPC of the surface of the latent image carrier, the work function Φt of the toner, and the work function ΦTM of the surface of the intermediate transfer medium are set to satisfy a relationship Φt>ΦOPC>ΦTM. These relationships help to reduce fog, and improve transfer efficiency which reduces the consumption of the toner.

摘要: An image forming apparatus of the present invention comprises: a latent image carrier; and a developing means for charging a toner into a negative polarity by triboelectric charging, for converting an electrostatic latent image on said latent image carrier to a visible image with said toner and is characterized in that (1) the work function (Φt) of said toner is set to be larger than the work function (ΦOPC) of the surface of said latent image carrier, or (2) in case that the apparatus is of a type transferring the visible image to an intermediate transfer medium, the apparatus is characterized in that the work function (Φt) of said toner is set to be larger than the work function (ΦTM) of the surface of said intermediate transfer medium or (3) the work function (ΦOPC) of the surface of said latent image carrier, the work function (Φt) of said toner, and the work function (ΦTM) of the surface of said intermediate transfer medium are set to satisfy a relation Φt>ΦOPC>ΦTM. According to this apparatus, during development, the amount of fog can be reduced and the transfer efficiency can be improved. Since the transfer efficiency from the latent image carrier to the intermediate transfer medium is improved, thereby reducing the consumption of the toner, reducing the cleaning toner amount.
