    摘要： There is disclosed an image processing apparatus which applies an adjusting process to an image that includes a pixel to be processed. The image processing apparatus extracts an image area with a predetermined size including the pixel to be processed. The apparatus calculates a variation associated with the pixel to be processed from signal values of pixels included in the image area. The apparatus calculates a variation time count in the image area from the signal values of the pixels included in the image area. The apparatus calculates adjusting levels Fz1, Fz2, and Fe from the variation time count and the variation using a definition unit which defines correspondence among the variation time count, the variation, and the adjusting levels, and applies an adjusting process to a signal value of the pixel to be processed by the calculated adjusting levels. Note that the definition unit defines the correspondence so that the adjusting levels Fz1, Fz2, and Fe progressively change in accordance with different variation time counts or different variations.

    摘要： In an information processing system, a printer driver in a host processor transfers print data to a print buffer in a serial printer having a configuration of one or more print heads. The print head configuration serially scans a predetermined number of print positions of a line and the print buffer for each print head has storage locations corresponding to the predetermined number of print positions. The printer driver determines empty storage locations of the current print head scan and sends print data for the next scan to the determined empty storage locations of the current scan in the print buffer.

    摘要： Feeding a plurality of successive sheets of a recording medium by calculating an expected time for a page end detection of a current sheet, and feeding a next sheet of the successive sheets in accordance with the calculated time, but prior to detection of the page end of the current sheet. Calculating the expected time may be detecting the page end for the current sheet, and mathematically filtering the page end detection of the current sheet with a current estimate of expected time for page end detection of the next sheet. The current estimate may be initialized after a first sheet of the successive sheets with a page end detection of the first sheet. The feeding of the next sheet may be controlled by controlling a time between the current sheet and the next sheet based on a time between the page end detection of the current sheet and a detection of the next sheet so as to obtain and maintain the time within a target range. Whether the page end detection of the current sheet is detected within a threshold amount of time after feeding of the next sheet has commenced may be determined, and where the page end of the current sheet is not detected within the threshold, the feeding of the next sheet is interrupted and a recovery process is engaged. The recovery process may be waiting for a page end detection of the current sheet and re-initiating feeding of the next sheet.
