    摘要: The present invention provides a liquid discharge head and a method for manufacturing such a head, in which a discharging speed of a liquid droplet can be increased, a discharging amount of the liquid droplet can be stabilized and discharging efficiency of the liquid droplet can be enhanced. The liquid discharge head comprises a heater, an element substrate on which the heater is provided, a nozzle including a discharge port portion having a discharge port for discharging the liquid droplet and a bubbling chamber and a supply path for supplying the liquid to the bubbling chamber and a supply chamber for supplying the liquid to the nozzle and an orifice substrate and, the bubbling chamber includes a first bubbling chamber and a second bubbling chamber above the first bubbling chamber and the discharge port portion is communicated with the second bulling chamber via a stepped portion and a side wall of the second bubbling chamber is converged toward the discharge port with inclination of 10 to 45 degrees and the nozzle is provided with a control portion comprised of a stepped portion in the flow path in the vicinity of the bubbling chamber and a maximum height of the flow path is smaller than a height up to a lower surface of the discharge port portion.

    摘要: A liquid discharging head includes a discharge port and a liquid passage provided with bubble-generating means and a movable member. The liquid passage has one side which is closed, and one side which communicates with the discharge port and with a liquid supply port. The movable member has a free end on the closed side of the liquid passage and a fulcrum on the other side. The bubble-generating means is disposed on a wall of the liquid passage facing the free end of the movable member and facing a wall in which the liquid supply port is provided. The movable member is separated from the discharge port by a gap in the liquid passage corresponding to the bubble-generating means. The projected area of the movable member on the liquid supply port is larger than the opening area of the liquid supply port.

    摘要: There is provided a liquid discharge head including a substrate, a ceiling plate connected to the substrate, a liquid flow path formed between the substrate and the ceiling plate, and a cantilever-like movable member having a fixed end fixed to the substrate and a free end extending into the liquid flow path, wherein the movable member is formed of a lower protective layer, a heat generating resistive layer, a lower electrode layer, an insulating layer, an upper electrode layer, and an upper protective layer stacked from the side of the substrate in the mentioned order, and wherein application of a voltage to a heat generating portion of the heat generating resistive layer causes bubbling of a liquid in the liquid flow path between the movable member and the substrate to discharge the liquid.

    摘要: A method for manufacturing an ink jet recording head by combining each of the processes to fabricate a heater board comprises (I) the first step of patterning a resistive layer on a substrate, (II) the second step of laminating a first protection layer and patterning the protection layer to form a groove by removing an area for wiring electrode layers to be formed later, (III) the third step of laminating a layer formed by material for use of the wiring electrode layers, (IV) the forth step of continuously giving heat treatment to the surface of the substrate, while the surface is not allowed to be exposed to the air outside, to enable the layer formed by the material of the wiring electrode layers to flow into only the groove on the first protection layer provided in the first step, and making the surface flat, as a result of which, a pair of electrode layers are formed to enable the resistive layer between them to be constituted as the heat generating unit and (V) the fifth step of forming a second protection layer. With this method of manufacture, it is possible to provide an ink jet recording head whose power dissipation is small, while having a good durability and capability of recording in high quality.
