摘要： The present disclosure enables remote device management. A programmatic interface is associated with each application plug-in. A web server included with the on-device agent provides access to the programmatic interfaces according to open standards such as HTML or XML. The present disclosure enables access to remote devices through existing infrastructure without the need for proprietary systems. An IT administrator or other administrator may remotely access and update software and hardware, track device data plan usage statistics, provide live support, and track current and historical device locations. An IT administrator or other user may update device settings, detect corrupt software, provide unattended installation of software, update applications while in use, and update applications sharing common files. IT administrators may employ the teachings of the present disclosure to provide customizable solutions for their own organization with features disclosed herein.

Some embodiments enable outdoor lighting assemblies to absorb forces due to bumping, thereby making it more difficult to break the outdoor lighting assemblies.

Embodiments of the invention utilize a model-view-controller design pattern to successfully control changes in parallel to underlying backend database information presentation related information. Granularity of protection and check in/check out on family, spread, presentation layer and presentation object. In addition, enables automatic update of changes to all users editing or viewing the information. Changes to the backend database may also include changes to the family hierarchy with real-time update of publication WYSIWYG pages for example. Enables rollback of changes. Instead of waiting constantly for other users to finish editing information before other edits can be made, the typical serial editing methodology is transformed by embodiments of the invention into a parallel methodology that greatly increases throughput and lowers the costs associated with large publications.

摘要： A peripheral device is connectable to a computer having one of a first interface and a second interface. The first interface communicates with the peripheral device over a differential data connection having a first data conductor and a second data conductor. The second interface communicates with the peripheral device over a clock conductor and a single ended data connection which includes a data conductor. The peripheral device has first and second communication conductors configured for connection to the first and second data conductors in the differential data connection when the computer includes the first interface and is configured for connection to the first data conductor in the single ended data connection and the clock conductor when the computer is provided with the second interface. The peripheral device includes an interface detection component coupled to the first and second communication conductors and configured to detect which of the first and second interfaces the peripheral device is connected to. The peripheral device also includes a controller component configured to communicate between the peripheral device according to a protocol corresponding to the detected interface.

摘要： Methods and systems for configuring and installing a rendering device in communication with a computer network that includes one or more clients and one or more servers are disclosed. In general, a driver associated with a rendering device can be installed and configured based on driver data and associated information maintained with a central repository within the computer network. Such a methodology requires minimum user intervention. A user can select a rendering device for installation, which triggers automatic installation of the rendering device based on the best-possible rendering device installation mechanisms available. The appropriate driver and installation settings can then be downloaded and selected. The administrator controls which rendering device installation mechanisms are allowed on the computer network and which are not.
