    摘要: In a scroll type compressor, a movable scroll is engaged with an immovable scroll so that spaces are formed for taking in a fluid to be compressed. The movable scroll is revolved around a central axis of the immovable scroll, so that the spaces are displaced toward the centers of the walls while a volume thereof is reduced to compress the fluid therein. The revolution of the movable scroll is converted from a rotation of a drive shaft through an eccentric mechanism provided therebetween. The shaft is rotatably supported by first and second angular bearings, which are spaced apart from each other along a longitudinal axis of the shaft and are far from and adjacent to the eccentric mechanism, respectively. The first and second bearings are correlatively oriented, and thus an increase of a load to which the second bearing is subjected due to a force exerted upon the shaft in a cantilever manner during a compression operation is suppressed.

The housing has a suction chamber, a crank chamber, a discharge chamber and a shaft seal chamber formed therein. The discharge chamber is in communication with the crank chamber through the supply passage. The supply passage has the shaft seal chamber. The discharge chamber is in communication with the external refrigerant circuit through the gas passage. The supply passage is formed differently from the gas passage. A part of the supply passage is located adjacent to the suction chamber and nearer to the suction chamber than the discharge chamber.

    摘要: A variable displacement compressor includes a cylinder block and a valve plate connected to the cylinder block. The cylinder block has cylinder bores and a central supporting hole. A piston is housed in each cylinder bore to compress gas. A swash plate is connected to the pistons to convert rotation of the drive shaft into reciprocation of the pistons. A cylindrical body is housed in the supporting hole. A coil spring located in the supporting hole presses the cylindrical body toward the swash plate. The cylindrical body moves axially as the swash plate is inclined. When the swash plate is minimally inclined, the valve plate receives force from the swash plate through the cylindrical body. Therefore, axial forces from the swash plate are not exerted on the drive shaft.

    摘要: A compressor has a drive plate located in a crank chamber and tiltably mounted on a drive shaft and a piston operably coupled to the drive plate and located in a cylinder bore. The inclination of the drive plate is variable according to a difference between the pressure in the crank chamber and the pressure in the cylinder bore. The compressor has an adjusting mechanism for adjusting the pressure in one of the crank chamber and a suction chamber to vary the difference between the pressure in the crank chamber and the pressure in the cylinder bore. The adjusting mechanism includes a gas passage for passing the gas used for adjusting the pressure and a control valve for adjusting the amount of the gas flowing in the gas passage. The control valve includes a valve body, a reacting member and a solenoid. The valve body adjusts the opening size of the gas passage. The reacting member moves the valve body in accordance with the pressure of the gas supplied to the compressor from the external circuit. The solenoid biases the valve body in a direction with the force based on a value of current supplied to the solenoid. A supplying apparatus supplies undulating current to the solenoid. The supplying apparatus varies the average value of the undulating current to vary the biasing force of the solenoid.

    摘要: A variable displacement compressor includes a gas passage for connecting a discharge chamber with a crank chamber. The control valve is located in the gas passage to control the pressure in the crank chamber. The control valve has a valve hole and a valve chamber located in the gas passage. A valve body is located in the valve chamber to adjust the opening size of the valve hole. A solenoid has a plunger and a plunger chamber for accommodating the plunger. A rod is located between the plunger and the valve body to transmit the movement of the plunger to the valve body. When the solenoid is de-excited, the bottom end face of the plunger abuts against the inner bottom wall of the plunger chamber. A plurality of grooves are provided on the bottom end face of the plunger and extend radially. The grooves define recessed passages between the bottom end face of the plunger and the inner bottom wall of the plunger chamber to prevent the bottom end face from adhering to the inner bottom wall. This prevents the plunger from sticking, and thus improves the response of the control valve.

    摘要: An improved displacement control valve incorporated in a variable displacement compressor. The control valve includes a valve body and a solenoid for actuating the valve body. The coil of the solenoid is wound about a bobbin made of insulating synthetic resin. A base plate integrally protrudes from the bobbin. A pair of conducting plates are secured to the base plate. Each plate has a clamping block. The coil has a pair of terminal wires. Each terminal wire is secured to and electrically corrected to one of the clamping blocks. Each terminal wire is wound about a holder formed in each plate between the bobbin and the corresponding clamping block. A diode is secured to the holders and is connected in parallel with the coil. A pair of terminals of the diode are secured to the corresponding holders by soldering and crimping. The holders prevent tension in the terminal wires from being applied to electrical joints formed between the wires and the clamping blocks, which makes the valve more reliable.
