摘要： An illumination system includes a light source unit including light emitting elements arranged in array in a main scan direction to project light beams radially, and an optical guide of a long length made from a translucent material to guide incident beams from an exit surface of the light source unit in a certain direction for output, and including at least one surface with a diffuse structure to diffuse a transmitted beam or a reflected beam among the incident beams, wherein the diffuse structure is configured to diffuse the beam at a center at a larger divergence angle than at ends in the main scan direction.

摘要： An optical pickup apparatus couples light beams, and corrects a chromatic aberration and a spherical aberration. A coupling lens includes groups of lenses common to the light sources so as to converge a light beam from each of the light sources. An aperture changes an aperture diameter for the light beam, which has been converged by the coupling lens, in accordance with one of the light sources from which the light beam is emitted. An objective lens converges the light beam onto a recording surface of one of the optical information recording media corresponding to the one of the light sources that emits the light beam. A lens moving mechanism moves at least one group of lenses from among the groups of lenses of the coupling lens in a direction of an optical axis thereof in accordance with an aperture diameter of the aperture.

摘要： A head protecting airbag device of the invention is provided with an airbag which expands to cover the vehicular interior sides of a window and a pillar garnish. Near the front or rear edge of an inner panel, a guide member is so arranged in the vertical direction that its vehicular interior side is covered by the edge portion of the pillar garnish. A flexible connection member, which is slidably connected to the guide member, is connected to a portion of the airbag toward the center of the window. Moreover, the connection member pushes open the edge portion of the pillar garnish toward the vehicular interior side as the connection member slides downward along the guide member when the airbag expands.
