Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for configuring therapy settings of a medical device for a specific patient. Patient data input via a non-medical device can be received. A value of a total daily dose of insulin for the specific patient can be obtained from the patient data. Based upon the value of the total daily dose, a set of therapy settings for the specific patient can be computed. The medical device can be automatically programmed with the set of therapy settings to complete set up of the medical device so that the medical device is configured for the specific patient.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are techniques related to determination of adjustments to fluid delivery settings. In some embodiments, the techniques may involve accessing insulin delivery data for a user of an insulin delivery device. The insulin delivery data may be indicative of an amount of insulin delivered by the insulin delivery device to the user during a time period. The techniques may also involve analyzing the insulin delivery data to generate an updated insulin sensitivity factor (ISF) value. The techniques may further involve generating, based on the updated ISF value, a recommendation to adjust an ISF value of the insulin delivery device. Additionally, the techniques may involve causing adjustment of the ISF value to the updated ISF value in accordance with the recommendation.

Abstract: Infusion systems, infusion devices, and related operating methods are provided. A method of operating an infusion device involves obtaining an input qualitative event attribute, such as a meal size, obtaining a quantitative event attribute associated with the qualitative event attribute that is representative of a subset of historical events for a patient associated with the qualitative event attribute, such as a representative carbohydrate amount for the qualitative meal size, and thereafter determine a dosage of fluid based at least in part on the quantitative event attribute and operate the infusion device to deliver the dosage of the fluid to the patient.

Abstract: Technologies are provided for training a mathematical model based on labeled events and/or labeled event combinations. A database can store detected events as labeled events and different combinations of the detected events as labeled event combinations. Each can include a label and a probability of an increased insulin delivery demand or a decreased insulin delivery demand for that particular detected event or that particular combination of detected events. An adaptation process can retrieve selected ones of the labeled events and the labeled event combinations from the database. A mathematical model can be trained based on the selected ones of the labeled events and the labeled event combinations to generate an adapted mathematical model of the user that simulates a physiological blood glucose response of the user in response to the selected ones of the labeled events and labeled event combinations.

Abstract: Infusion systems, infusion devices, and related operating methods are provided. An exemplary method of providing site rotation feedback pertaining to a sensing arrangement providing sensed measurements of a physiological condition in a body of a user involves obtaining one or more reference measurements of the physiological condition in the body of the user, determining a lag associated with the sensing arrangement based on a relationship between the one or more reference measurements and one or more of the sensed measurements, identifying a current site location on the body of the user associated with the sensing arrangement from among a plurality of site locations based on the lag, determining one or more performance metrics associated with the current site location, and providing sensor site feedback in a manner that is influenced by the one or more performance metrics.
