Abstract:
Disclosed is a method including having an ongoing communication session via a packet switched network, transferring said communication session from the packet switched network to a second network providing both packet and circuit switched access, and informing an application server maintaining said ongoing communication session that the communication session is to be split into a packet switched part and a circuit switched part. Also disclosed is a method in an application server, including receiving, from a first communication device, an indication that a communication session between the first communication device and a second communication device is to be split into a packet switched part and a circuit switched part, waiting for to receive transfer requests of both the packet switched part and the circuit switched part, and informing the second communication device of the split.
Abstract:
Aspects of the present invention relate to methods and entities involved in enabling and improving inter-domain handover. A PS based RAN such as eUTRAN can identify which potential handover to prepare and which handover to initiate, PS-PS or SR-VCC based on: (1) the UE's SR-VCC capabilities, (2) “SR-VCC indication” from the MME, (3) active VoIP bearer, and (4) target cell capabilities.
Abstract:
A method is provided for single radio voice call continuity from E-UTRAN to UTRAN, comprising receiving a single radio voice call continuity request for handover from packet switched access of a source radio access network to circuit switched access of a target radio access network, sending a query to determine whether last active session is a voice only or a video session, and receiving a response to said query indicating whether said last active session is a voice only or a video session.
Abstract:
A method of managing chat services in a communications system comprising the steps of: a first user terminal initiating a chat session with a session manager; said first user terminal inviting a second user terminal to join the chat session, wherein the second user terminal is associated with a blocklist of blocked users that are blocked from communicating with the second user terminal; checking if a third user terminal invited to join the chat session by the first user terminal is listed in the blocklist; and in the event that the third user terminal is in the blocklist, creating a notification message to notify a user of the second user terminal that a blocked user is joining the chat session.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided for facilitating voice call continuity in intersystem handover. A method may include determining that a user equipment device being handed over from a packet switched network to a circuit switched network is a party to a voice call in an alerting state. The method may further include providing session state information indicating that the user equipment device is a party to a voice call in an alerting state to a network entity on the circuit switched network in response to the determination. Corresponding systems, computer program products and apparatuses are also provided.
Abstract:
A way to provide page-mode messaging is to send a message using a session-mode messaging mechanism with an indication indicating that the session-mode is for a pager-type message. In response to said indication, a receiver treats the message as a page-mode message although it was received in the session-mode.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method in an application server. A request for initiating a communication session is received, and responsive to the request including a first service identifier pertaining to a service not supported by the application server, the first service identifier is removed from the request. A response to the request is received, and responsive to having removed the first service identifier from the request and the response including a second service identifier pertaining to the same service as the first service identifier, the second service identifier is removed from the response.
Abstract:
A device is described which comprises a sender and a receiver configured to perform a circuit switched session, wherein the sender and the receiver are capable to also send and receive session control messages according to a session control protocol, and a controller configured to receive a specific session control message, wherein the session control message includes information for establishing a specific packet switched connection capable of supporting a specific packet services to a network node, wherein the information is encoded in a format suitable for the session control protocol, wherein the controller is further configured to obtain the information from the specific session control message, and to establish the specific packet switching connection based on the obtained information.
Abstract:
A system, apparatus and method for establishing circuit-switched (CS) communications in packet-switched (PS) multimedia networks such as IMS, and providing services via the PS networks to CS domain users. A dialog is established between terminals through the PS multimedia network. A service is provided to at least one of the terminals by way of the dialog. CS bearer information, including an indication that a communication flow is requested via a CS network, is communicated between the terminals by way of the dialog. A communication flow via the CS network is effected between the terminals as directed by the CS bearer information. IMS or other PS multimedia network services can thus be provided to users otherwise communicating via the CS-domain.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method, system, client device, conference server device and computer program product of controlling media composition in a multi-party conversation involving a central control point (50). At a participant (10) of said multi-party conversation, a scope information (SoM) which specifies members of said multi-party conversation is selected and added to a session modifying request. The session modifying request is transmitted to the central control point (50) which initiates a media modification at the specified members in response to the scope information (SoM). Thereby, a client can control whether media modification is applied to the whole conference, selected participants or only between the client itself and the conference server.
