摘要: An ink tank cartridge is provided removably mountable onto an ink supply needle of the ink-jet type recording apparatus body. The cartridge has a housing provided with an ink supply port extending through and projecting from a wall of the housing and into the chamber of the housing. A porous member having ink impregnated thereon is positioned inside the chamber of the housing abutting against the ink supply port. A filter is mounted on the inner end opening of the ink supply port. The ink tank cartridge is further provided with a packing member for resiliently abutting against the outer periphery of the ink supply needle and is positioned adjacent one end of the ink supply port. The outer opening of the ink supply port is sealed with a sealing member through which the ink supply needle penetrates. A further porous member may be positioned in the ink supply port between the packing member and the filter to prevent a false ink end indication caused by air reaching an electrode of an ink end sensor positioned between the filter and the further porous member when the ink tank cartridge is removed from the recording apparatus.

摘要: Adopted is a decoder, in which on condition that a prediction block shown by vector information extracted from a data stream, and a decode-target block have an overlap where respective pixels overlay each other, pixel information of an already-decoded portion at a distance of an integer multiple of a vector provided by the vector information from the overlap is made a prediction signal instead of the overlap, and the prediction signal is added to difference image data taken from the data stream to generate reproduction image data. The decoder is adopted for an intra-frame decoder, a local decoder of an encoder, and the like. According to a fundamental rule concerning a repetitive pattern of an image, a pixel at a distance of an integer multiple is a like pixel, and therefore the process of decoding can be performed efficiently.

摘要: In terms of the transmission of the coding method, it is ensured to decode information coded according to the intra-frame prediction coding with vector information. An error of a piece of divisional image information targeted for image prediction coding and a piece of predicted information is determined to perform prediction coding. A data stream in which a piece of information for identifying a prediction method and a piece of information subjected to prediction coding according to the method are arranged is produced according to the process sequence of the prediction coding for each process on the divisional image information. At this time, the data stream has a pair of vector information and the error information as information subjected to prediction coding for each process on the divisional image information on condition that the prediction method is intra-frame prediction coding with vectors.

摘要: An image encoding/decoding device includes a first circuit and a second circuit for providing initial setting to image processing modules. The image encoding/decoding device does not receive information, which is initially set to the image processing modules, directly from an external CPU, and control information for the initial setting is set to the first circuit from the CPU. The second circuit reads in initial setting information and setting-target information of the initial setting information from outside using the control information set in the first circuit and transfers the initial setting information to an image processing module according to the setting-target information. The CPU does not need to set the whole information, which is initially set to the image processing modules, directly to the image encoding/decoding device, and also does not need to set both a transfer source address and a transfer destination address as in DMA transfer.

摘要: The present invention provides an image encoding device which does not necessitate reference of a quantization parameter between consecutive macroblocks across a parallel processing area boundary without forming slices. The image encoding device encodes a macroblock of an encoding target image by parallel processing sequentially from the top of a parallel processing area, and possesses an encoding element for every parallel processing area. When all the quantized orthogonally-transformed coefficients of a top macroblock of the parallel processing area are zero, the encoding element adds a non-zero coefficient to a part of the coefficients, making the coefficients non-zero. Accordingly, generation of a skip macroblock in the top macroblock of each parallel processing area is suppressed. Since slice formation is not necessary, the prediction over a parallel processing area boundary is applied, and encoding efficiency improves. Errors are not generated in decoding and the decoded image quality does not deteriorate.

摘要: The moving image encoding method includes encoding macro-blocks included in a landscape picture frame of a moving image having a larger horizontal width in a horizontal direction than a vertical width in a vertical direction by an encoding device. In macro-block encoding, information of the encoded macro-blocks surrounding a macro-block to be encoded is stored in a built-in information storing memory of the encoding device. Further, in the encoding, first a vertical array of macro-blocks at the left end of the horizontal width of the landscape picture frame are encoded sequentially, and the resultant encode information is stored in the information storing memory, and subsequently an adjacent vertical array of the plural macro-blocks located horizontally on the right of the left end of the horizontal width of the landscape picture frame are encoded sequentially.
