    摘要: An AND gate inputs the most significant bit of a lower word of an multiplicand or "0" to an input terminal of the least significant bit of Booth's decoders to which an upper word of the multiplicand is inputted based on a control signal. An AND gate replaces a part of a partial products with "0" based on the control signal. A selector replaces other part of the partial products with partial products of the lower bits than the other part of the partial products. Whereby, a plurality of pairs of data can be multiplied at one time.

    摘要: A parallel adder circuit includes a partial product adding circuit for adding one-bit partial products together in order total to a plurality of partial products, and sign bit decoder circuit for decoding sign bits of a given bit number to provide a total sum of the sign bits, and supply this total sum to the partial product adding circuit at given bits. In a multiplier utilizing Booth's algorithm, a decoder circuit is used for decoding sign bits of the partial product to provide the total sum of all the sign bits, and a decoded output is supplied to the partial product adding circuit. Therefore, the number of higher bit inputs can be reduced and the number of full adders in the partial product adding circuit can be decreased.

    摘要: There is a need for allowing an exhaust direction of a cooling air to be appropriately changed according to an installation environment of a projection type display device. There is another need to achieve a system for preventing an intake air and an exhaust air from being circulated therebetween by changing the direction of an intake port as well as an exhaust direction. A cooling system for an area around a lamp that accounts for a good part of an amount of heat generated by the projection type display device is isolated from a cooling system for other parts including a liquid crystal panel. Means is further provided of allowing the directions of intake and exhaust to be inverted in an entire device by changing the direction of rotation of an exhaust fan provided for the cooling system for the area around the lamp between forward and backward.
