摘要: An optical element to be measured is irradiated with the light which has passed through an indicator, thereby to form an indicator image on an image pick-up surface. Maximum peak coordinates are specified and stored as a position of the indicator image relating to the first surface. Whether the second largest peak may be specified or not is determined. In case that this result is NO, the maximum peak indicator image is deleted, and maximum peak coordinates are specified again and stored as a position of the indicator image relating to the second surface.

摘要: A lens array device and an image display device using the lens array device, which allow a lens effect characteristic different from that of a single variable lens array to be easily obtained, are provided. The lens array device includes a variable lens array and a fixed lens array. The variable lens array includes a plurality of variable lenses each having electrically-adjustable refracting power. The fixed lens array includes a plurality of fixed lenses each provided in correspondence to each of the plurality of variable lenses. Each of the fixed lenses has a refracting power which, once a corresponding variable lens has come to have a first refracting power, allows the first refracting power to be cancelled out.

摘要: A fuel bottle 10 for a fuel cell having a bottle main body 12 for containing fuel for a fuel cell and comprising a nozzle portion 11 at the tip portion of the bottle main body 12 on which a coupler for connecting with a main body of a fuel cell can be attached and a trunk portion having a generally elliptic shape in cross section and having been formed by blow molding. In this bottle 10, length L1 in one direction of minor axis from the center On of the nozzle portion of the elliptic shape in cross section differs from length L2 in the other direction of the minor axis from the center On of the nozzle portion. By this structure, a moving space of a push button when the fuel bottle 10 is housed in a hard case can be secured while necessary capacity of the fuel bottle 10 is secured. Pinch portions 13 and 14 are formed in lowly stretched portions of the bottle main body 12 in a manner to protrude outwardly whereby contact areas of the pinch portions 13 and 14 are increased and contact strength thereby is improved.

摘要: A portable terminal user uses a portable terminal so as to select data to be printed among data in a server as well as an MFP from which the data is to be printed out. The server creates authentication data and transmits the authentication data to the selected MFP. The MFP displays the authentication data. The portable terminal acquires the authentication data through picture taking, and transmits the acquired data to the server. The server compares the created authentication data with the data transmitted from the portable terminal. If they match, print data corresponding to the authentication data is transmitted to the MFP, whereby the MFP performs printing. With such a configuration, an image output system attaining excellent usability for the user and improved security can be provided.

摘要: An optical shutter for a display device includes a partition wall surrounding and isolating a light-transmitting portion; a polar liquid having polarity, allowing light transmission, and placed at the light-transmitting portion; a nonpolar liquid having no polarity, blocking light, and placed at the light-transmitting portion; an insulator having hydrophobic properties and disposed over the entire light-transmitting portion; and first and second electrodes that are different. When no voltage is applied across the first and second electrodes, the nonpolar liquid spreads near the insulator, becomes stable, and thus blocks the light. When a voltage is applied across the first and second electrodes, the polar liquid gravitates toward the insulator because of a change in wettability of the insulator against the polar liquid and causes the nonpolar liquid to collect in part of the light-transmitting portion according to the level of the voltage, thereby controlling the amount of transmission of light.

摘要: An instrument for measuring a refractive power includes a target, a target projecting unit, a measurement light projecting unit, a light receiving unit, a unit for performing a normal refractive power measurement, a judgment unit, and a unit for performing a high-speed refractive power measurement. The unit for performing a normal refractive power measurement measures a normal refractive power of an examined eye based on received light data. The judgment unit judges reliability of the received light data or the refractive power measurement. The unit for performing a high-speed refractive power measurement measures a refractive power of the examined eye faster than the unit for performing a normal refractive power measurement in response to a judgment result of the judgment unit.

摘要: There are provided a screw-type cap which can secure necessary fastening torque (opening torque) even in a case of a container having a plug having a foremost end portion of a small diameter and also a safety cap which cannot be opened by only rotation and therefore has a child resistance effect. A safety cap 20 consists of a screw-type inner cap 21 and an outer cap 22 which is mounted in such a manner that it covers the inner cap 21 and can be rotated and can displace axially within a limited distance. The outer cap 22 can rotate integrally with the inner cap 21 by pushing down the outer cap 22 and rotate it while the outer cap 22 rotates idly by rotation only. A plug portion 8 is formed by projecting a plug 6 from a disk portion 7 which is in abutting engagement with a tip end portion of a mouth portion 2 of the container. The inner cap 21 has a small diameter portion 21c formed in the inner middle portion thereof. The small diameter portion 21c is in abutting engagement with the disk portion 7 and controls interference by screwing. By causing the small diameter portion 21c of the inner cap 21 against the disk portion 7 of the plug 6, interference can be controlled to prevent excessive fastening and necessary fastening torque (opening torque) can be secured even in a case where the cap has the plug portion having a small diameter while idle rotation can be secured to achieve a child resistance effect.
