摘要: A treatment device system includes a treatment machine for generating custom peritoneal dialysis solution and including at least one fluid conveyor, the treatment machine having a controller, the controller having a first memory, configured to produce a therapeutic fluid by causing the at least one fluid conveyor to mix purified water and at least one concentrate. The system also includes a user interface and a water purifier in fluid communication with and providing the purified water to the treatment machine, the water purifier including internal central controller, the internal central controller having a second memory, to control preparation of the purified water. A server is communicatively coupled with the treatment machine and a control line provides two way communication between the controller of the treatment machine and the internal central controller of the water purifier.

摘要: Peritoneal dialysis admixing and/or treatment devices, methods, and systems are disclosed. The systems, methods, and devices provide high-level guarantees of sterility and employs relatively inexpensive disposable components to provide pumping. Disclosed systems, methods, and devices and features thereof are adapted for point of use generation of medicament. In particular admixing systems that employ independently-replaceable long term concentrate are disclosed. Features are directed to assurance of sterility and accurate admixing of water and concentrate to generate ready-to-use medicaments and other benefits.

摘要: A medical treatment system includes a disposable fluid circuit that includes a water inlet and a batch container arranged to hold a mixture, the mixture including water that is received from the water inlet and at least one concentrate. The fluid circuit also includes a drain line for draining fluid from the disposable fluid circuit, and a configurable fluid pathway with a plurality of fluid lines, the configurable fluid pathway connecting the water inlet, the batch container, a source of the at least one concentrate, and the drain line. A source of purified water supplies the purified water to the water inlet and a sensor detects a property of fluid in the disposable fluid circuit. A controller controls flowing of a first fluid followed by displacement by a second fluid causing the first fluid to flow to the sensor.

摘要: A blood treatment system employing at least two pumps for performing a low blood flow treatment is operable for high blood flow treatments such as extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) by providing a fluid circuit with parallel blood flow paths and recruiting multiple ones of the pumps for parallel blood flow.

摘要: The disclosed subject matter relates to extracorporeal blood processing or other processing of fluids. A blood treatment system treats blood with multiple fluids and performs fluid balancing on a patient's blood compartment. Multiple streams influence the patient temperature but only a subset of the fluids are dynamically temperature regulated. The system regulates a temperature of the flow, for example, of dialysate in order to regulate the return temperature of blood, in such a way that the temperature effect of the multiple streams is compensated.

摘要: A core temperature measurement may be made by varying the heat transfer dynamics of a blood circuit and fitting parameters of a blood circuit heat transfer configuration to measurements under the varied conditions. Then the input temperature of the patient core can be extracted from the model and a current temperature measurement remote from the patient core and optionally other measurements such as blood flow rate.

摘要: A treatment system for performing a treatment on a patient may include a treatment fluid preparation device having a pump connected by a fluid channel to a reservoir of a source fluid, the pump conveying the source fluid from the reservoir, through a filter, and combining the source fluid with a concentrate by pumping the source fluid with the concentrate to form a treatment fluid in a batch container. The treatment fluid preparation device may have a controller that controls a heater, the pump, and a memory. The controller starts the heater to warm the treatment fluid in the batch container at a time that is responsive to the treatment time stored in the memory. The controller also detects a pressure property of the filter to determine its integrity and outputs an indication of a failed batch if the pressure property indicates the integrity of the filter is insufficient.

摘要: The disclosed subject matter includes embodiments of fluid couplings that prevent or discourage misconnection of fluid lines. In embodiments, a coupling device may have multiple male connectors, female connectors, open ports, butt connectors, and plugs that close off various ports and connectors. The coupling device is mated to a matching coupling device only when all the multiple male and female connectors are properly joined and/or sealed by plugs. If any of the connectors is not properly mated to a corresponding one or not sealed by a plug on the opposite connector, the coupling will leak, since the connectors are joined to a furcating channel.

摘要: A pressure measurement pod for blood circuits can include a flexible, moveable, fluid-impermeable diaphragm and can be formed via either a one-shot or a two-shot molding process. A method of manufacturing a pressure measuring device can include providing first and second major mold parts having recesses defining major parts of a housing, and inserting pins in the first and second major mold parts, the pins being shaped to define a flow channel of a molded pressure measuring pod. One of the pins may have a major face that defines an internal surface of a diaphragm. The method may further include closing the first and second major mold parts with the pins therebetween and injection molding a pressure pod housing. Finally, the pressure pod is removed from the mold parts and the pins are withdrawn from the flow channel.
