    Abstract: One or more aspects of physical uplink control channel (PUCCH) repetition is disclosed. In a particular implementation, a method of wireless communication includes receiving, by a user equipment (UE), downlink control information (DCI) including a physical uplink control channel resource indicator (PRI) field codepoint. The method also includes determining, based on the PRI field codepoint, whether to transmit a PUCCH repetition within a slot position using a single PUCCH resource or transmit multiple PUCCH repetitions within the slot position using multiple PUCCH resources. The method further includes transmitting multiple PUCCH repetitions within the slot position using the multiple PUCCH resources responsive to determining to transmit the multiple PUCCH repetitions within the slot position using the multiple PUCCH resources.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems implementing beamforming, a neighboring base station may cause interference to a user equipment (UE) served by a different base station. To mitigate unexpected interference, an interference coordination region including time and frequency resources may be configured between the base stations. The interference coordination region may be configured based on long-term information for the base stations and may include one or both of a set of beam-avoidance sub-regions or a set of beam-preference sub-regions for a base station, where each sub-region is associated with a beam index. A base station may schedule a communication beam in the interference coordination region based on a beam-avoidance region (e.g., refraining from using a particular communication beam) or a beam-preference region (e.g., prioritizing a particular communication beam). The base station may transmit a message to a UE using the scheduled communication beam.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a base station may transmit a set of reference signals spanning a channel to a user equipment (UE), where each of the reference signals is associated with one of a set of transmit beams. The UE may measure a signal quality of each of the set of reference signals. In some cases, each measured signal quality may correspond to one of a set of subbands of the channel and one of the set of transmit beams. The UE may then transmit an indication of at least one signal quality associated with one of the set of subbands and one of the set of transmit beams. In some cases, the UE may indicate the at least one signal quality according to a configuration that may be indicated by the base station or selected by the UE.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first transmit receive point (TRP) may transmit a first physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) communication to a user equipment (UE), wherein the first PDSCH communication includes a first set of layers for a codeword, and wherein a second set of layers for the codeword are transmitted to the UE in a second PDSCH communication from a second TRP. The first TRP may receive from the UE, acknowledgement or negative acknowledgement (ACK/NACK) information corresponding to the codeword.     Abstract: In one aspect, an extended SSB (ESSB) is provided that includes more than four symbols to facilitate UE reception of SSBs. In this aspect, the base station configures an ESSB comprising an SSB including four symbols and an initial symbol preceding the SSB. The base station transmits and the UE receives at least a portion of the ESSB. The UE processes the ESSB. Thus, higher capacity UEs can benefit from additional coding gain in the initial symbol while lower capacity UEs can switch beams to receive back-to-back ESSBs. In another aspect, a UE performs additional behaviors to receive SSBs. In this aspect, the UE receives a first SSB using a reception beam, and the UE determines to maintain the reception beam for a second SSB or to switch the reception beam during a PSS symbol of the second SSB. Thus, lower capacity UEs can also receive back-to-back SSBs.

    Abstract: A method of wireless communication includes determining, by a communication device, a value of a counter associated with a listen-before-talk (LBT) operation. The method further includes, after determining the value of the counter and during a first portion of a deferral interval associated with the LBT operation, performing a first measurement of a particular duration to determine a first energy value. The method further includes, during a second portion of the deferral interval subsequent to the first portion, performing a second measurement of the particular duration to determine a second energy value. The method also includes determining whether to initiate a contention interval associated with the LBT operation based on the first energy value and further based on the second energy value.
