    Abstract: This disclosure relates to connecting a metal hose between a radiator and a cold plate that cools a CPU, or similar electronic heat generating component, whereby the metal hose is connected to the radiator with silicon casings. Waterproof spray plates are also provided to direct any water spray away from the electronic components. A water tray beneath the waterproof spray plates collects any water and directs it to a location outside the chassis.

    Abstract: A method and system controls cooling system leaks in a rack. The method includes monitoring leak detection sensors positioned at computer systems and below sections of a liquid conveyance system. In response to determining if a signal was received from one of the leak detection sensors that is indicative of a leak, the leak detection sensor and the corresponding one of the plurality of computer systems associated the received signal is determined. Power is disconnected to the corresponding one of the computer systems and a signal is transmitted to implement moving first and second valves from open to closed positions. The first valve is positioned within the liquid conveyance system between a hot rack manifold and a thermal contact structure associated with the computer system associated with the received signal. The second valve is positioned within the liquid conveyance system between a cool rack manifold and the thermal contact structure.

    Abstract: A closed-loop liquid cooling system includes a liquid coolant conduit, a cold plate, a pump and a heat exchanger. The liquid coolant conduit is in proximity to a heat-generating electrical component. The liquid coolant conduit allows circulation of a liquid coolant to extract heat therefrom. The liquid coolant conduit includes an inner portion that surrounds and contains the liquid coolant, and an outer portion configured to prevent or inhibit leakage of the liquid coolant from the inner portion and also detect any leakage from the inner portion. The cold plate is in thermal communication with the liquid coolant. The pump is configured to transport the liquid coolant in the liquid coolant conduit. The heat exchanger is coupled to the liquid coolant conduit to extract heat therefrom.

    Abstract: A coolant distribution unit providing reliant circulation of coolant in a liquid cooling system for a heat-generating component such as a computer server is disclosed. The coolant distribution unit includes a manifold unit having a supply connector to supply coolant to the heat-generating component and a collection connector to collect coolant from a heat exchanger. A first pump has an inlet coupled to the manifold unit and an outlet coupled to the manifold unit. The first pump circulates coolant from the inlet to the outlet. A second pump has an inlet coupled to the manifold unit and an outlet coupled to the manifold. The second pump circulates coolant from the inlet to the outlet. The second pump may be disconnected from the manifold unit, while the first pump continues to circulate coolant through the manifold unit.

    Abstract: A cooling device for a computing system is disclosed. The device includes a heat sink, a base, and a cover. The heat sink includes a plurality of fins extending from a first section of the heat sink. The base includes a plurality of grooves on a first side. The plurality of grooves is configured to mate with at least a portion of the plurality of fins of the heat sink. The cover is configured to be coupled to the base and encapsulate the heat sink.     Abstract: An equipment assembly that allows easier replacement of heat-generating electrical components is disclosed. The assembly includes a rack for containing a heat-generating electrical component. The component includes a coolant inlet, a coolant outlet, and a drain connector. A cold manifold supplies coolant to the heat-generating electrical component through the coolant inlet. A hot manifold collects coolant from the heat-generating electrical component through the coolant outlet. A drain manifold includes a coupler. The coolant inlet and the coolant outlet are disconnected from the cold and hot manifolds. The drain connector is fluidly connected to the drain manifold to drain coolant from the heat-generating electrical component before the heat-generating electrical component is removed from the rack.

    Abstract: A server includes an inner housing disposed within an outer housing such that a channel is defined between them. The inner housing includes a low-power electronic component and a high-power electronic component, and is sealed to protect the components. A first heat sink extends through the inner housing. Heat generated by the low-power electronic component is transferred through an inner portion of the first heat sink to an outer portion of the first heat sink. A second heat sink disposed in the channel is coupled to the high-power electronic component via heat pipes that extend through the inner housing. Heat generated by the high-power electronic component is transferred through the heat pipes to the second heat sink. A fan positioned in the channel causes air to enter the channel through a first vent, flow through the channel, and exit the channel via a second vent to remove the generated heat.
