Abstract: A novel display panel that is highly convenient or reliable is provided. The display panel includes a display region, a first functional layer, and a second functional layer. The display region includes a pixel, and the pixel includes a display element and a pixel circuit. The first functional layer includes the pixel circuit, a scan line, and a first connection portion. The display element is electrically connected to the pixel circuit, and the pixel circuit is electrically connected to the scan line. The second functional layer includes a region overlapping with the first functional layer, the second functional layer includes a driver circuit and a wiring, and the driver circuit is provided so that the pixel circuit is positioned between the driver circuit and the display element. The wiring is electrically connected to the scan line at the first connection portion, and the wiring is electrically connected to the driver circuit.

Abstract: A display apparatus with high display quality is provided. In the display apparatus, a dummy pixel portion is a region that does not contribute to display. The dummy pixel portion is positioned adjacent to the outside of a pixel portion in a plan view. The pixel portion includes a first insulating layer, a first pixel electrode and a second pixel electrode over the first insulating layer, a first layer over the first pixel electrode, a second layer over the second pixel electrode, and a common electrode over the first layer and the second layer. The dummy pixel portion includes the first insulating layer, a first conductive layer and a second conductive layer over the first insulating layer, a third layer over the first conductive layer, a fourth layer over the second conductive layer, and the common electrode over the third layer and the fourth layer. The first insulating layer includes a first groove and a second groove. The first groove includes a first region overlapping with the first pixel electrode and a second region overlapping with the second pixel electrode. The second groove includes a third region overlapping with the first conductive layer and a fourth region overlapping with the second conductive layer.

The second insulating layer is over and in contact with the first conductive layer and placed below the EL layer. The first conductive layers of adjacent pixels are separated by a third insulating layer containing an inorganic material and a fourth insulating layer containing an organic material. A side surface of the first conductive layer and a side surface of the EL layer each include a region in contact with the third insulating layer. The fourth insulating layer is over and in contact with the third insulating layer and placed below the common electrode.
