Abstract: In some examples, a computer-implemented method includes accessing a contact database of a sending user, the contact database includes a plurality of contact records, each contact record of the plurality of contact records being associated with a respective user and including respective graphic data, identifying a first set of contact records of the plurality of contact records, each contact record of the first set of contact records having common graphic data as part of the respective graphic data, automatically including the first set of contact records in a contact group of a messaging application of the sending user, detecting a send message operation by a messaging application of the sending user, and causing presentation of a user-selectable graphic icon associated with the contact group within the messaging application, the user-selectable graphic icon being selectable by the sending user to send a message to the contact group.

For instance, a system can: generate corpus data from a set of features of a collection of media content items; determine a set of candidate graphical elements for the collection of media content items based on the corpus data and further based on a set of first mappings associating at least one graphical element and at least one n-gram; determine a set of prediction scores corresponding to the set of candidate graphical elements based on the set of features; determine a ranking for the set of candidate graphical elements based on the set of prediction stores; select a set of predicted graphical elements, from the set of candidate graphical elements, based on the ranking; and provide the set of predicted graphical elements in association with the collection of media content items.

Abstract: Systems, methods, devices, instructions, and media are described for generating suggestions for connections between accounts in a social media system. One embodiment involves storing connection graph information for a plurality of user accounts, and identifying, by one or more processors of the device, a first set of connection suggestions based on a first set of suggestion metrics. A second set of connection suggestions is then identified based on a second set of suggestion metrics, wherein the second set of connection suggestions and the second set of suggestion metrics are configured to obscure the first set of connection suggestions, and a set of suggested connections is generated based on the first set of connection suggestions and the second set of connection suggestions.
