Abstract: Systems, devices, media, and methods are presented for selective location-based identity communication. The systems and methods identify a current location of a mobile computing device and detect a selection of a user interface element associated with the current location. The systems and methods cause presentation of a set of display elements corresponding to the current location and detect selection of a display element of the set of display elements. The systems and methods modify a display characteristic for the current location of the mobile computing device within a set of mobile computing devices based on the selection of the display element.

Abstract: A server maintains an ephemeral message gallery of ephemeral messages. Each ephemeral message is posted to the ephemeral message gallery by a user for viewing by recipients via recipient devices. In response to an ephemeral message gallery view request from any of the recipient devices, the ephemeral messages in the ephemeral message gallery are displayed on the requesting device in automated sequence, each message being displayed for a respective display duration before display of the next message in the ephemeral message gallery. A user interface via which the ephemeral message gallery is viewable includes indicia with respect to the number of times the ephemeral message gallery has been viewed online by other users.

Abstract: Examples generate and operate a unitary, or composite, interface, having a number of sections or portions that are concurrently and persistently displayed, and using which a user can conveniently navigate through a reserved seat selection process, from selecting a particular theater or venue, through to the final seat selection. In addition, the example unitary interface also proposes various features and mechanisms to enable the user to conveniently locate and purchase a desired or acceptable ticket (e.g., one that is located at a good a viewing angle relative to a screen, or that is contiguously located next to other available seats for friends and family).

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for determining that geolocation data from a computing device corresponds to a geo-fence associated with a plurality of galleries and providing user-selectable gallery information comprising indicia for each of the plurality of galleries corresponding to the geo-fence to the computing device. The systems and methods further provide for receiving a first message comprising a photograph as the background for the message in response to a second message in a first gallery of the plurality of galleries, and adding the first message to the first gallery associated with a selection of the indicia for the first gallery in the plurality of galleries of the of user-selectable gallery information. The first message is accessible by other computing devices accessing the gallery information to view the first message comprising the photograph as the background of the first message.

Abstract: A server maintains a gallery of ephemeral messages respectively comprising visual media content, such as user-provided photographic content or user-provided video content. Each ephemeral message is posted to the gallery by a user for viewing by recipients via recipient devices. In response to a gallery view request from any of the recipient devices, the ephemeral messages in the gallery are displayed on the requesting device in automated sequence, each message being displayed for a respective display duration before display of the next message in the gallery. The gallery has a global gallery availability parameter, and each message has a gallery participation timer. The gallery is made unavailable for viewing upon expiry of the gallery availability parameter or upon expiry of the gallery participation timer of a last posted message in the gallery, whichever occurs first.

Abstract: A messaging server system receives a message creation input from a first client device that is associated with a first user registered with the messaging server system. The messaging server system determines, based on an entity graph representing connections between a plurality of users registered with the messaging server system, that the first user is within a threshold degree of connection with a second that initiated a group story in relation to a specified event. The messaging server system determines, based on location data received from the first client device, that the first client device was located within a geo-fence surrounding a geographic location of the specified event during a predetermined event window, the geo-fence and event window having been designated by the second user, and causes the first client device to present a user interface element, that enables the first user to submit content to the group story.

Abstract: Systems and methods for radial gesture navigation are provided. In example embodiments, user input data is received from a user device. The user input data indicates a continuous physical user interaction associated with a display screen of the user device. An initial point and a current point are detected from the user input data. A radius distance for a circle that includes the current point and is centered about the initial point is determined. An action is selected from among multiple actions based on the radius distance being within a particular range among successive ranges along a straight line that starts at the initial point and extends through the circle. Each range among the successive ranges corresponds to a particular action among the multiple actions. The selected action is performed in response to detecting a completion of the continuous physical user interaction.

Abstract: A server has a processor and a memory storing a message thread module with instructions executed by the processor to maintain a message thread between users of client devices. The message thread module serves a message thread with a new text entry to a client device in response to a request for the message thread from a user. Message thread state change is collected from the client device, where the message thread state change represents an indication to automatically delete the new text entiv of the message thread after the duration of a transitory display period on the client device unless an indication of a gesture applied to a display screen presenting the new text entry of the message thread is received from the client device during the transitory display period. The message thread state change is queued at the server along with additional message thread state changes associated with the collecting operation performed for additional users associated with the message thread. The message thread is revised based upon the message thread state change and the additional message thread state changes to form shared message thread state. The shared message thread state is stored. The shared message thread state is supplied in response to a request for the message thread from a user.

Abstract: A computer implemented method includes identifying a special character in a message generated by a sender. A money transfer prompt is supplied to the sender in response to the special character. A transfer amount is validated. An account transfer for the transfer amount is initiated. The message is sent to a recipient with indicia of the account transfer.
