摘要: A vibrating screen includes a frame, a screen supported by the frame, a vibration device coupled to the frame to vibrate the screen, a pressurized fluid spray assembly operable to discharge a pressurized fluid against the screen, a canopy coupled to the frame and movable between a closed position, in which at least a top side of the screen is covered by the canopy, and an open position, in which at least a portion of the top side of the screen is uncovered, an actuator coupled between the frame and the canopy to move the canopy between the closed and open positions, and a controller operably coupled to the actuator and the pressurized fluid spray assembly. The controller is operable to close the canopy and initiate operation of the pressurized fluid spray assembly in an automated sequence.

摘要: Motion may be transferred between portions of two characters if those portions have a minimum topological similarity. The portions or structures of the source and target character topologies may be represented as one or more descriptive files comprised of a hierarchy of data objects including portion identifiers and functionality descriptors associated with portions of the respective source or target topology. To transfer motion between the source and target characters, the motion associated with the portions or structures of the source character identified by a subset of source portion identifiers having corresponding target portion identifiers is determined. This motion is retargeted to and attached to the corresponding portions or structures of the target character identifiers. As a result, the animation of the portions of the target character effectively animates the target character with motion that is similar to that of the source character.

摘要: A dispenser in which a dry powder (one component of a two-part adhesive tissue sealant and/or adhesive) is stored in a container (e.g., a carpule) having a septum at one end, an open end opposite the septum, and a movable plug. The powder is retained at the septum end of the container by the movable plug, which is displaced and pushed back as the solvent used for reconstituting the powder is introduced (e.g., through the septum). The second part of the tissue sealant is contained within a second container, also with a movable plug. After the first part is reconstituted, a manifold is fitted which pierces both septums and allows the contents to be dispensed. A dual syringe body supports the containers, and has pistons that enter the open ends to advance the movable plugs. Other embodiments of tissue adhesive and/or sealant dispensers and kits as well as methods of preparing tissue sealants are also described.

摘要: A mobile station (102) contains a local personality database (110) in a memory (306) of the mobile station. The local personality database contains information records (400), at least one of which has a variable personality parameter, such as a directory number (404). The directory number may change with either the time of day, geographic location, or both. At the appropriate time, the mobile station transmits a request to a central office (106) to receive an update of the directory number. The central office searches a parameter database (112) to find the most recent directory number, and returns it to the mobile station, which stores it for use at a later time. The system can also update scan and channel lists in the same manner.

摘要: A data compression method compresses a sequence of characters into a sequence of compression symbols by double-indirect indexing into a dictionary data structure arranged in a novel format, wherein the input characters as used as indirect indexes. The dictionary data structure comprises a set of state vectors, arranged in a tree-like structure, and a set of alpha arrays, arranged in a matrix-like structure. During the compression sequence, each character in the sequence is used as an index into a current alpha array, which is used to determine whether the character can be compressed. If compressible, the current alpha array provides an index to a corresponding state vector, which contains information concerning the next alpha array and the next state vector. The next alpha array becomes the next current alpha array, and the next state vector becomes the current state vector. The process is repeated until the sequence of input characters is exhausted or a non-compressible character is encountered. At that time, the compression symbol contained in the current state vector is output as the compression symbol associated with the sequence of input characters.

摘要: A roller for moving one of ink and water through a printing press is disclosed as an elastomeric covering on a solid journal. The elastomeric covering includes spiral lands and valleys adjacent the lands having depths ranging from 0.002 to 0.004 inch for ducting water, and ranging from 0.002 to 0.015 inch for ducting ink. At valley depths of greater than 0.015, ink is carried solely on the lands for the purpose of lubricating the ductor system. One embodiment includes reversed spiral land and valley end segments that direct ink inwardly from the ends of the rollers to prevent ink buildup at those positions on a ductor roller.

摘要: A first geometry and a second geometry are accessed. They are positioned so that the first geometry and the second geometry at least in part intersect. The first geometry is divided into portions based on the intersection with the second geometry. At least a first portion of the first geometry is classified as being on one side of the second geometry. At least a second portion of the first geometry is classified as being on another side of the second geometry. At least a third portion of the first geometry is unclassified. The classifying includes comparing an angle weighted normal of a face with a property of the second geometry. The third portion is reclassified as either above the second geometry or below the second geometry according to the classification of a neighboring portion.
