    Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel which displays an image corresponding to each of a plurality of frames, and a source driver which drives the display panel. The plurality of frames includes a first frame operating at a first operating frequency, and a second frame operating at a frequency higher than the first operating frequency. The first frame includes a write cycle section, a hold cycle section, and a blank section including a standby section. The source driver operates in a normal driving mode during the write cycle section and the hold cycle section, and operates in a low-power driving mode during the standby section.

The display driver is configured to receive input image data including first data, and generate a driving signal for driving the display panel based on conversion data. The display driver includes a converter configured to convert the first data into the conversion data. The conversion data include conversion data in N rows and M columns. Each of (2K−1)-th column conversion data include first color conversion data representing a first color and second color conversion data representing a second color. Each of 2K-th column conversion data include third color conversion data representing a third color and fourth color conversion data representing the second color. N, M and K are positive integers.

    Abstract: A pixel includes a switching transistor transmitting a data voltage to a first node, a storage capacitor electrically connected between a first power supply line and the first node and storing the data voltage, first and second driving transistors electrically connected to the first power supply line, the first node, and a second node, and first and second light emitting elements electrically connected between the second node and a second power supply line. An anode of the first light emitting element and a cathode of the second light emitting element are electrically connected to the second node, a cathode of the first light emitting element and an anode of the second light emitting element are electrically connected to the second power supply line, the first driving transistor is a P-type transistor, and the second driving transistor is an N-type transistor.

    Abstract: A display device including: a display panel including a pixel connected to a first scan line, second scan line, and data line, the pixel including: a first switch connected to the first scan line; a second switch connected to the second scan line; and a light emitting element; a low-frequency driving controller to output a first power control signal having a first level in a first mode and a second power control signal having a second level in a second mode; a scan driver including first and second scan drivers to drive the first and second scan lines, wherein one of the first and second scan drivers operates in the second mode; and a data driver to operate in the second mode in response to the power control signal having the second level, wherein the data driver operates at a frequency lower than a reference frequency in the second mode.

    Abstract: A display device includes display device includes: a display panel including a plurality of pixels; a data driver configured to generate data voltages based on output image data, and to provide the data voltages to the plurality of pixels; and a controller configured to receive input image data and input frequency information from a host processor, and to provide the output image data to the data driver, wherein the controller includes an adaptive refresh block configured to: determine a target frequency by analyzing the input image data; determine a masking ratio based on an input frequency represented by the input frequency information and the target frequency; and selectively output the input image data as the output image data by performing a masking operation on the input image data with the masking ratio.

    Abstract: A pixel of a display device includes a capacitor; a light emitting diode; and first, second, third, and fourth transistors. The display device has a normal frequency mode and a low frequency mode. Two electrodes of the capacitor are respectively connected to a first voltage source and a gate node. A gate electrode of the first transistor is connected to the gate node. In a hold period in the low frequency mode, both the second and third transistors receive a scan signal, the third transistor diode-connects the first transistor, the fourth transistor receives an initialization signal and transfers an initialization voltage to the gate node, the scan signal is at a first off voltage level, and the initialization signal is at a second off voltage level unequal to the first off voltage level. The cathode of the light emitting diode is connected to a second voltage source.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a display panel including pixels, a gate driver applying a gate signal to a gate line, a data driver applying a data voltage to a data line and a driving controller determining a mode of an input image data to a moving image mode or a static image mode according to whether the input image data is a moving image or a static image, driving the display panel in a moving image driving frequency in the moving image mode and in a static image driving frequency in the static image mode, operating the gate driver in an alternate driving mode such that the gate driver scans a first group of the gate lines in a first duration and a second group of the gate lines in a second duration and inserting a compensation frame to scan all of the gate lines when an image transition is occurred in the static image mode.
