    Abstract: A display apparatus including a substrate including a display area and a non-display area adjacent to the display area, a thin film encapsulation layer disposed on the substrate and including at least one inorganic encapsulation layer and at least one organic encapsulation layer, a touch unit disposed on the thin film encapsulation layer in the display area, and including a first insulating layer and a second insulating layer disposed on the first insulating layer, the second insulating layer having a first opening at least partially exposing the first insulating layer, a first partition wall disposed on the thin film encapsulation layer in the non-display area along a periphery of the display area, and an organic layer covering the touch unit, directly contacting an upper surface of the first insulating layer through the first opening, and extending to the first partition wall.

    Abstract: A display apparatus includes a base layer including device counterparts and bridges, the bridges being located around the device counterparts and connecting the device counterparts to each other, an inorganic insulating layer located over the base layer and having openings exposing at least a portion of at least one of the bridges, organic layers filling the openings, wires located over the organic layers, display devices located over the device counterparts, and encapsulation films each of which has a form of an island to correspond to a corresponding one of the device counterparts, each of the encapsulation films including a first inorganic encapsulation film covering a corresponding one of the display devices, an organic encapsulation film located over the first inorganic encapsulation film, and a second inorganic encapsulation film covering the organic encapsulation film and contacting the first inorganic encapsulation film outside of the organic encapsulation film.

    Abstract: A method of manufacturing a display module includes: providing a carrier substrate; providing a base layer, where a display area and a pad area are defined, on the carrier substrate; providing a circuit layer on the display area of the base layer and the pad area of the base layer; forming a though hole in the circuit layer and the base layer on the pad area; forming a conductive part by providing a conductive material from an upper surface of the circuit layer to the though hole formed in the pad area; and providing a circuit member electrically connected to the circuit layer below the base layer.

    Abstract: A display device comprises a circuit element layer on a substrate and comprising a thin film transistor, a storage capacitor, and a pixel electrode connected thereto, a display layer comprising an emission layer, an opposite electrode on the emission layer, and a functional layer, a thin encapsulation layer on the display layer, the thin encapsulation layer comprising at least one inorganic layer and at least one organic layer, and a through portion passing through the substrate, the circuit element layer, the display layer, and the thin encapsulation layer, wherein a slope angle of a lateral surface of the display layer adjacent to the through portion is different from that of one of a lateral surface of the substrate, a lateral surface of the circuit element layer, and a lateral surface of the thin encapsulation layer that are adjacent to the through portion.
