Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication technique for converging IoT technology with a 5G communication system for supporting a higher data transfer rate beyond a 4G system, and a system therefor. The present disclosure can be applied to intelligent services (e.g., smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, smart or connected cars, health care, digital education, retail business, and services associated with security and safety) on the basis of 5G communication technology and IoT-related technology. A communication method of a terminal according to one embodiment of the present invention may comprise the steps of: checking information on at least one service supported by a terminal; selecting a first frequency band in which a cell search is to be performed; receiving a reference signal from at least one cell at the selected first frequency; selecting, as a target cell, a first cell from which the reference signal having the largest strength has been received; and when the target cell supports the at least one service supported by the terminal, accessing the target cell.

The method includes when an HO of the UE to the slave eNB is determined, transmitting an HO request message to a target slave eNB, when a HO Ack message is received from the target slave eNB, transmitting an HO trigger request message including identification information of the target slave eNB to a source slave eNB, and when a resource release message is received from the target slave eNB, transmitting an HO success indicator to the source slave eNB.

A transmission apparatus of a wireless communication system according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a transmission unit for transmitting a compressed beacon frame by means of a plurality of transmission beams; a receiving unit for receiving information for the optimal transmission beam from among the plurality of transmission beams; and a control unit for controlling beamforming by means of a beam received from a terminal, wherein the data and header are compressed into a single frame in the compressed beacon frame.
