Abstract: A personalized emoji dictionary, such as for use with emoji-first messaging. Text messaging is automatically converted to emojis by an emoji-first application so that only emojis are communicated from one client device to another client device. Each client device has a personalized emoji library of emojis that are mapped to words, which libraries are customizable and unique to the users of the client devices, such that the users can communicate secretly in code. Upon receipt of a string of emojis, a user can select the emoji string to convert to text if desired, for a predetermined period of time.

The proposed systems and methods receive first user input indicative of a selection of a user interface element corresponding to a recipient user, generate an augmented reality content item based on second user input from the first computing device, generate a contextual trigger for the generated augmented reality content item, the contextual trigger defining a set of conditions for presenting the generated augmented reality content item on a second computing device, generate a multi-media message comprising audio data recorded at the first computing device, detect at least one condition of the set of conditions being satisfied, and in response to detecting at least one of the set of conditions being satisfied, causing presentation of the augmented reality content item and the multi-media message at the second computing device.

Abstract: Systems and methods are described for providing scan based imaging using an electronic eyewear device. The methods include scanning a scene using the electronic eyewear device to capture at least one image in an environment of a first user and identifying at least one physical marker in the scanned scene. Upon identification of the at least one physical marker in the scanned scene, a message (e.g., preselected AR content) is passively sent to at least one of directly to a second user or to at least one physical marker at a remote location for presentation to the second user. The message may be sent without use of the first user's hands to make a selection. The physical markers may be associated with a fixed object, a human face, a pet, a vehicle, a person, a logo, and the like.
