Abstract: Methods for providing a call-back number for emergency calls initiated from a non-DID device are provided. The methods include receiving a call from a public safety answering point (PSAP) at an application programming interface (API) associated with a carrier, wherein a PSAP operator calls a proxy call-back number on a PSAP screen that has been previously assigned to a non-DID device; requesting instructions at the API from a control function based on the proxy call-back number dialed by the PSAP operator; receiving information at the API related to the non-DID device from the control function based on pre-provisioned data associated with the proxy call-back number; and routing the call from the PSAP to the non-DID device through a voice over internet protocol (VOIP) switch.

Abstract: Systems and methods for generating a preview stream for a user of a video conferencing service. In some aspects, the systems and methods provide for receiving a video stream of at least a portion of a display screen of a user device and determining whether the user device has been designated as a receiving device for receiving a version of the video stream. In response to determining that the user device has not been designated as a receiving device for receiving a version of the video stream, a request is generated to designate the user device as a receiving device in addition to being a presenting device. Based on images of the video stream, a preview stream (e.g., of at least a portion of the display screen) is generated and transmitted for display at the user device.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes techniques for determining whether a communication request is associated with a legitimate communication or spoof communication, prior to establishing the connection. A Parallel Path Caller Verification (PPCV) controller is described that is configured to intercept a communication request from an originating device and generate a proof-of-identity (PoI) message for delivery to the originating device. Upon receipt of a reply message that is responsive to the PoI message, the PPCV controller may determine whether the communication is a legitimate communication. If the communication is determined as legitimate, the PPCV controller may establish a communication based on the communication request.
