    摘要: A liquid discharging method is provided with heat generating elements for creating air bubbles for discharging liquid, discharge ports arranged corresponding to the heat generating elements, first liquid flow paths conductively connected with the discharge ports, second liquid flow paths arranged corresponding to the heat generating elements, and a separation wall to separate the first and second liquid flow paths. This separation wall is provided with the free end, which is caused to be displaced to the first liquid flow side by pressure exerted by air bubbles created by the heat generating elements, thus leading the pressure toward the discharge port side for discharging liquid from the discharge ports. For this liquid discharging method, liquids are supplied to the second liquid flow paths and to the first liquid flow paths from different sides, respectively, in order to stabilize the flow of liquid for the enhancement of the discharging efficiency and power, while reducing the influence of cavitation with respect to the heat generating elements to make the life thereof longer.

The method comprises a step of preparing a substrate provided with the heat generating element, a step of forming a grooved partition wall having the movable member and side walls of the second path portion, and a step of joining the grooved partition wall to the substrate to form the second path portion.

    摘要: A liquid ejection head has a heat generating surface for generating heat for generating bubbles in liquid, the heat generating surface being substantially flush and/or smoothly continuous with an upstream surface of the heat generating surface, a portion above the upstream surface and a further upstream portion being in fluid communication with each other when the heat generating surface does not generate heat, a movable member having a free end and a fulcrum, the movable member and the heat generating surface having a space therebetween, and an ejection outlet for ejecting liquid through generation of the bubble. The ejection outlet opposes the heat generating surface with the movable member interposed therebetween, and an opposing member cooperates with the movable member to direct the bubble toward the ejection outlet. The movable member directs the growing bubble toward the ejection outlet in a direction substantially perpendicular to the heat generating surface.
