    摘要: Various wireless precoding systems and methods are presented. In some embodiments, a wireless transmitter comprises an antenna precoding block, a transform block, and multiple transmit antennas. The antenna precoding block receives frequency coefficients from multiple data streams and distributes the frequency coefficients across multiple transmit signals in accordance with frequency-dependent matrices. The transform block transforms the precoded frequency coefficients into multiple time domain transmit signals to be transmitted by the multiple antennas. The frequency coefficients from multiple data streams may be partitioned into tone groups, and all the frequency coefficients from a given tone group may be redistributed in accordance with a single matrix for that tone group. In some implementations, the frequency coefficients within a tone group for a given data stream may also be precoded. In some alternative embodiments, tone group precoding may be employed in a single channel system.

The method includes generating a precoding matrix for multi-antenna transmission based on a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) feedback from at least one remote receiver where the PMI indicates a choice of precoding matrix derived from a matrix multiplication of two matrices from a first code book and a second codebook. The method further includes precoding one or more layers of a data stream with the precoding matrix and transmitting the preceded layers of data stream to the remove receiver.

The base station forms at least one layer of data stream including modulated symbols, precodes the at least one layer of data stream via multiplication with consecutive first and second precoding matrices and transmit the precoded data stream to the at least one user equipment via the six antennas. The first precoding matrix W1 is a block diagonal matrix formed by two identical 3 by Nb matrices, where Nb is the number of distinct Discrete Fourier Transform vectors. The second precoding matrix W2 introduces a phase shift between the two 3 by Nb matrices and selects a column subset from the first precoding matrix.
