Abstract:
An enhanced, diploid pollenizer watermelon plant and method used to maximize the yield of triploid seedless watermelons per area. The enhanced pollenizer watermelon plant of the invention is either a hybrid variety, an open-pollinated variety or a synthetic variety, that exhibits the characteristics of small leaves and fruit with a brittle rind that splits when the fruit is overripe or breaks when relatively small physical forces are applied. In one embodiment, the watermelon plant of the invention is also characterized by extended flowering duration, thereby increasing the number of triploid watermelon flowers that are pollinated and set fruit. The method for producing a seedless watermelon fruit, includes the steps of providing a pollenizer diploid watermelon plant, extending the duration of flowering of the pollenizer plant while reducing the number of such plants needed to pollinate the same number of triploid watermelon plants, and maximizing dispersal of the pollenizer watermelon plant throughout the field of triploid watermelon plants.
Abstract:
An inflatable drive through tunnel system comprised of an inflatable main tunnel and an inflatable positive pressure booth area for performing simple medical diagnostic tests or the like. A patient can drive into the inflatable tunnel. Medical personnel can take samples from patients who remain in their vehicles. The medical personnel can then store the samples in the positive pressure booth area. The positive pressure ensures that outside contaminants are not brought into the booth through the air when the personnel enter and leave the booth.
Abstract:
An inflatable structure for painting aircraft, comprised of a front chamber and a rear chamber. An aircraft can be positioned within the structure. Air vents within the structure create a positive pressure environment within the structure for removing paint fumes and preventing dirt or contaminants from entering the structure.
Abstract:
A system and method for finding dents on an automobile is described herein. The system, in one embodiment, can be a booth that has a support structure, a plurality of wall sections, a roof, and interior surface defined at least in part by the wall sections and the roof, and a first geometric repeating pattern on a first region of the interior space. The method in one embodiment, can be receiving an automobile within the booth described above, illuminating the booth to cause the first geometric repeating pattern of the booth to reflect off a surface of said automobile; and identifying presence of defects using a reflected pattern, the reflected pattern a reflected image of the first geometric repeating pattern on the automobile.
Abstract:
An inflatable booth for use in detecting dents on an automobile. The inflatable booth generally forms an archway or tunnel and has an exterior surface and an interior surface. Lights are mounted on the exterior surface of the booth. The exterior surface of the booth is transparent or clear at least in the areas where the lights are positioned. The interior surface has a repeating geometric pattern. To detect dents, an automobile is driven into the booth and the lights are turned on. The geometric pattern on the interior surface of the booth is reflected off the surface of the automobile forming a reflected pattern. Dents or mars in the surface of the automobile cause distortions in the reflected pattern, thus making them easy to detect and fix. The booth can be easily inflated, deflated, and transported.

Abstract:
Systems and methods can provide for improved impairment discovery for broadband communication systems. In some implementations, such systems and methods can provide cluster outage detection and/or time-stamped outage data and visualization. Improved outage discovery can help operators plan repair and thereby reduce truck rolls and decrease network down-time.
Abstract:
Redistribution of network capacity in a network having a plurality of base stations is contemplated. The redistribution may include reallocating or otherwise reusing primary channels assigned to the plurality base stations to increase capacity proximate one or more of the base stations. The network capacity may be increased in this manner without having to add new base stations.
Abstract:
A method of polishing objects using an apparatus comprised of a rotary positioning device comprising a turret; a base mounted on the turret; a drive wheel connected to a rotatable shaft, the drive wheel having a perimeter, and the rotatable shaft disposed in a housing. The polishing wheel assembly may include an elongated arm including a proximal end joined to the base, and a distal end; a rotatable polishing wheel supported at the end of the elongated arm; and a polishing belt comprising an inner surface and an outer surface, the inner surface engageable with the perimeters of the drive wheel and the polishing wheel. The method is comprised of contacting the outer surface of the polishing belt to a contact region of the surface of the object; and controlling the contact region by rotating the elongated arm around the turret axis.
