Abstract:
A method for recovering unburnt exhaust gases in an oxygen converter, is described, which involves the control of an exhaust gas damper by means of a control signal obtained by signal-processing, in accordance with set functional formulae, an exhaust gas damper control signal obtained from the pressure differential between the converter throat pressure and atmospheric pressure, and an exhaust gas damper prediction control signal obtained by continuously detecting the quantities of oxygen fed and of secondary raw material charged, as well as the composition of the exhaust gases and the flow rate of exhaust gases. With this signal processing the quantity of furnace generated gases and the quantity of combustion exhaust gases at the converter throat are calculated and the degree of optimum aperture of the converter damper is controlled.
Abstract:
Arrangement for preparing dry hot compressed air to be supplied to blast furnace, wherein a heat exchanger and a dehydrater assembly comprising a gas permeable regenerative moisture absorbing rotor are arranged in the air passage from blower to hot air furnaces so that the hot compressed air from the blower may be used to heat the dehydrated air and to regenerate the rotor. Air leakage between regenerating and dehydrating zones in the dehydrater is prevented by sealing those clearances where otherwise such leakage would occur by packing elements to form sealed spaces and externally introducing dry pressurized air into each of said spaces.

Abstract:
An exemplary object is to provide a library apparatus, a magazine insertion detection method, and a program that are capable of detecting whether or not a magazine is inserted for all the magazine insertion positions without using sensors for detecting insertion of magazines. A library apparatus includes: a mark reading unit which is provided in an accessor unit which transfers a plurality of media that can be read and written by a computer, and reads a predetermined mark for all insertion positions of a plurality of magazines which can be inserted into the library apparatus and can accommodate the media, the mark being stuck to each of cells accommodating the media; and a control unit which, if the mark can be read, determines that a magazine is inserted at an insertion position which includes a read position for which a reading result that the mark can be read has been obtained, and, if the mark cannot be read, determines that no magazine is inserted at an insertion position which includes a read position for which a reading result that the mark cannot be read has been obtained.
Abstract:
A workflow executing method to execute a workflow of a plurality of steps according to a workflow definition. The method includes obtaining setting information of a user instructing execution of the workflow, which is setting information related to the execution of the workflow. The method also includes modifying the workflow definition corresponding to the workflow of which the user instructed execution, based on the obtained setting information. The method continues by dividing the workflow definition modified with the modifying unit for each workflow executing apparatus that executes the workflow definition. The method also includes executing at least one of the divided workflow definitions and sending at least one divided workflow definition to another workflow executing apparatus that executes processing based on the workflow definition, whereby workflow definitions are modified to match user settings, and the modified workflow definitions are divided to match apparatuses executing the workflow definition.
Abstract:
An information processing apparatus that positively notifies a notification destination of information to be notified even if a communication protocol is changed before notifying storage of stored data. A notification setting processing section of a document storage notification application sets a protocol for accessing the stored document data from a computer via a network. When document data is stored in a HDD, a mail transmission processing section notifies the computer of storage location information on the document data for accessing the data according to the set protocol. If the set protocol is changed before the storage location information is notified to the computer, a control section causes the mail transmission processing section to notify the computer of storage location information for causing the document data to be accessed using the changed protocol.
Abstract:
A polyethylene resin expanded particle has an expansion ratio of not less than 10 times and not more than 50 times, and in a DSC curve obtained by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), the polyethylene resin expanded particle (i) shows two melting peaks, the two melting peaks being a low-temperature side melting peak and a high-temperature side melting peak, and (ii) further has a shoulder in a region not less than 100° C. and not more than the low-temperature side melting peak temperature, the shoulder having a shoulder ratio which is not less than 0.2% and not more than 3%. This makes it possible to obtain a polyethylene resin expanded particle for producing a polyethylene resin in-mold expansion molded article in which especially an end (edge part) of the polyethylene resin in-mold expansion molded article is excellent in fusion bond level and appearance and which has neither a wrinkle nor a void on a surface thereof, is excellent in surface property (has a beautiful surface), and has a high expansion ratio.

An image density control device includes a first detecting unit that detects a light amount of first specular reflected light which is reflected from a surface of an image carrier, a second detecting unit that detects a light amount of first diffuse reflected light which is reflected from an image on the surface of the image carrier, a surface change information acquiring unit that acquires a surface change information which shows changes with time, and a control unit that corrects the light amount of the first specular reflected light by using the surface change information to a light amount of second specular reflected light, and controls the density of the image by using the light amount of the first diffuse reflected light and the light amount of the second specular reflected light.
Abstract:
Provided is a process for producing expanded polyolefin resin particles whose cells are not made nonuniform or extremely smaller as seen in conventional expanded particles, whose cell diameter and expansion ratio can be easily controlled independently, and which, when subjected to in-mold expansion molding, give in-mold expanded molded products satisfactory in fusibility and excellent in surface properties. The process is a process for producing expanded polyolefin resin particles by: dispersing polyolefin resin particles together with an aqueous dispersion medium into a closed vessel; heating the polyolefin resin particles up to or above a softening temperature of the polyolefin resin particles; and releasing the polyolefin resin particles into a zone whose pressure is lower than an internal pressure of the closed vessel, with use as a foaming agent of water serving as the dispersion medium, the polyolefin resin particles being composed of a polyolefin resin composition including: polyolefin resin; a substance selected from among polyethylene glycol, polyvalent alcohol having a carbon number of not less than 3 to not more than 6, and a water-absorbing substance having no function of forming foaming nuclei; and a foam nucleating agent.
