The plant includes a gas delivery duct assembly extending from a gas supply location away from the vessel to deliver oxygen-containing gas to gas injection lances extending into a direct smelting vessel. The gas delivery duct assembly includes a single gas delivery main connected to the gas injection lances to supply oxygen-containing gas to the gas injection lances. The gas delivery main is located at a height above a lower half of the vessel.

    摘要: A process for the production and/or treatment of at least one metal in a reactor includes discharging a waste gas stream via a waste gas conduit and after-treating the waste gas stream by supplying a cooling gas and/or a cooling gas mixture. The after-treating includes injecting the cooling gas and/or cooling gas mixture into the waste gas conduit on a side of the waste gas conduit facing the reactor, at a high velocity and substantially tangentially with respect to a main flow direction of the waste gas. A volume of the cooling gas and/or the cooling gas mixture injected into the waste gas conduit is adjusted so as to reduce a mixing temperature below a melting temperature of the molten particles and/or a condensation temperature of the vaporous constituents of the waste gas stream.

    摘要: It is an object of the present invention to provide a method of compacting a powdery mixture of electric furnace dust and a carbonaceous material into a briquette and subjecting the briquette to a thermal reduction treatment in a rotary hearth furnace, the method being capable of ensuring a strength of the briquette resistant to a handling in a course after the compacting through until it is set in the rotary hearth furnace, and reducing energy necessary for drying of the briquette while preventing bursting thereof in the rotary hearth furnace. The method comprises the steps of: adding a carbonaceous material B and a binder C, and optionally water, to electric furnace dust A generated in a steelmaking electric furnace 1, to form a powdery mixture D having a water content of 0.5 to 3 mass %; compacting the powdery mixture D into a raw briquette E; and charging the raw briquette without drying into a rotary hearth furnace 5 and thermally reducing the raw briquette to obtain a reduced iron briquette F and a crude zinc oxide G.

    摘要: A process and device for removing heavy metals and compounds containing heavy metals from waste gas of a metallurgical vessel which is charged with materials posing disposal problems. The flue gas collecting in the metallurgical vessel is sucked out of the vessel as a main gas flow and cleaned in a gas cleaning system. The flow of cleaned gas is guided to an after-burning device. A portion of the clean flue gas is diverted frown the main gas flow leading to the after-burning device. The diverted flow portion is cooled and guided back to the main flow of flue gas where it is mixed with the flue gas before the main flow of flue gas enters the gas cleaning system.

    摘要: The method for treating the dust entails the following steps:(a) supplying a combination of dust, a reducing agent and flux to a gastight electrothermic smelting furnace,(b) smelting, reducing and volatilizing certain metals in the smelting furnace,(c) tapping of an inert slag phase and a liquid metal phase from the smelting furnace,(d) continuous removal from the smelting furnace of a gas phase containing chiefly CO-gas, metal fumes, sulphur, chlorides and fluorides together with entrained unreacted dust,(e) further treatment of the gas phase.The process produces an inert slag phase which can be safely deposited in a landfill. The process also allows for recovery of valuable metal components from the dust.
