    摘要: An error detection apparatus for use with an image forming apparatus prevents damage to the image forming apparatus that results from toner sensor error. The image forming apparatus includes a developer housing positioned opposite to a photosensitive body; a toner box for supplying monocomponent toner to the developer housing; a developer roller for developing an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive body in the developer housing; a toner transport and supply member for transporting and supplying the monocomponent toner to the developing roller; and a toner sensor for detecting either the presence or the absence of the monocomponent toner in at least one of the developer housing and the toner box. The error detection apparatus includes a first counter for counting the number of either prints or image signals while a toner-present signal is being detected continuously from the toner sensor; a second counter for counting the number of either prints or image signals while a toner-absent signal is being detected continuously from the toner sensor; and a display and stopping unit for stopping the operation of the image forming apparatus and displaying an error indication concurrently if the sum of the values counted by the first and the second counter has exceeded a predetermined value.

    摘要: A scanner as a film analyzer, which inspects a frame on photo film, is consecutively supplied with the film by a notcher, which forms a notch in the film. The scanner includes an image area sensor which subjects the frame on the film to photometry. A pair of feeding rollers feed the film, so the film passes the photometric station. A winding shaft winds the film fed from the photometric station. A dancer roller displaces one portion of the film from a feeding path to form a loop. A set of loop checking sensors is disposed with the dancer roller, and checks displacement of the film in comparison with a predetermined upper limit. The notcher is disabled if the film displacement is greater than the upper limit. The displacement of the film is checked in comparison with a predetermined lower limit. The image area sensor is disabled if the film displacement is smaller than the lower limit.

    摘要: In image signal storing method and apparatus, a continuous tone image signal representing a continuous tone image and a binary image signal representing a binary image, which carries information giving specifics about the continuous tone image, are obtained. A redundancy imparting process is carried out on the binary image signal in accordance with irreversible signal compression processing such that the information represented by the binary image signal may not be reduced when the irreversible signal compression processing is carried out. Thereafter part of the continuous tone image signal, which part corresponds to part of the region in the continuous tone image, is replaced by the binary image signal, which has been obtained from the redundancy imparting process. The irreversible signal compression processing is then carried out on an image signal, which has been obtained from the replacement. An image signal, which has been obtained from the irreversible signal compression processing, is then stored.

    摘要: A signal processing method in autoradiography for determination of the base sequence of DNA or a DNA fragment, employing groups of radioactively labeled base specific cleavage products or mixtures thereof obtained by specifically cleaving the DNA or DNA fragment labeled with a radioactive element and resolved one-dimensionally in parallel relation to each other to form resolved rows on a support medium. An autograph is obtained having locational information on groups of radioactively labeled cleavage products contained in the rows on the support medium. An electrical digital signal corresponding to the autoradiograph is then generated. Sampling points in each resolved row of the digital signal are next detected. Reference sampling points are then determined in a plurality of reference rows which are either directly provided on resolved row adjacent to the reference row to identify sampling points in adjacent resolved rows. Sampling points in the remaining non-reference rows are identified for determination of the base sequence of the DNA or DNA fragment.

    摘要: In a light beam scanning type recording system in which a part of a read-out light beam scans a form slide and another part of the read-out light beam scans a linear encoder to generate photoelectric pulses, a data signal is read out by use of a video clock signal, and a recording light beam is modulated by a video signal obtained by combination of the data signal and the form signal, a device for correcting displacement of the form slide from a predetermined position with respect to the data information is provided. An optical mark is provided on the form slide in the marginal area thereof and a mark signal is generated when the read-out light beam passes through the optical mark. The number of clock pulses from a pulse generator is counted after the mark signal is generated and before the first photoelectric pulse is outputed to detect the amount of displacement of the form slide. Then, the video clock signal or the form signal is delayed according to the detected amount of displacement.
