    Abstract: A method, a device, and a non-transitory storage medium are described in which a network slice selection service is provided. The service may include using route selection policies that includes radio frequency criteria for selection of a network slice. The service may include establishing an application session based on the route selection policies. The service may further include determining that a radio frequency of the network slice cannot be sustained. The service may include executing an application session release procedure and an application session establishment procedure. The procedures may include using cause data and context data pertaining to the initial application session to re-establish the application session via a different network slice and a different radio frequency based on the route selection policies.

    Abstract: A system described herein may provide a technique for applying an authorized set of traffic parameters, such as network slicing parameters, Quality of Service (“QoS”) parameters, etc. to traffic associated with a particular application, without exposing an identifier of the traffic to one or more network devices of a network that handles the traffic. An authentication system of some embodiments may generate a tokenized version of the application. A User Equipment (“UE”) may extract a token from the tokenized application and identify a set of traffic parameters based on then token. The UE may apply the traffic parameters to outbound traffic associated with the application, and the network may determine whether such traffic parameters are authorized for a destination associated with the traffic based on an authorization of the destination for the particular traffic parameters.

    Abstract: Systems and methods for Next Generation to Long Term Evolution (LTE) fallback are provided. An exemplary method includes detecting a request to set up a voice call originating from or terminating at a user equipment that is connected or configured to connect to a Next Generation mobile network; transitioning, in response to the request to set up the voice call, the user equipment from having a Next Generation mobile network connection with the Next Generation mobile network to having an LTE network connection with an LTE network, the detecting and the transitioning performed without call setup being performed for the voice call via the Next Generation mobile network; and performing call setup for the voice call via the LTE network connection with the LTE network.

    Abstract: A computer device may include a memory storing instructions and processor configured to execute the instructions to receive a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) refresh request. The processor may be further configured to identify one or more Quality of Service (QoS) classes for which, if an active communication session exists that is associated with at least one of the QoS classes, a SIM refresh should be rejected; access a database of active communication sessions associated with the UE device; determine that an active session, stored in the database of active communication sessions, is associated with at least one of the one or more QoS classes; and reject the SIM refresh request based on determining that the active session is associated with at least one of the one or more QoS classes.
