摘要: A communication system for wirelessly transmitting at least one signal, the system comprising: a first device configured to receive and modulate the at least one signal, the first device having a first conductive element operatively adapted to contact a first human body and a second conductive element isolated from the first human body, wherein the first and second elements operate to wirelessly transmit the modulated signal; and a second device having a first conductive element operatively adapted to contact a second human body, and a second conductive element isolated from the second human body, wherein the first and second elements operate to receive the transmitted modulated signal from the first device.

摘要: An implantable medical device comprising first and second coils each comprising one or more circular windings defining a diameter. Each of the first and second coils have a length, wherein the diameter of the one or more windings of the first coil are greater than the length of the first coil, and wherein the diameter of the one or more windings of the second coil are smaller than the length of the second coil, and wherein at least one of the one or more windings of the first coil is substantially orthogonal to at least one of the windings of the second coil.

摘要: Embodiments presented herein are generally directed to techniques for the transfer of isochronous stimulation data over a standardized isochronous audio or data link between components of an implantable medical device system. More specifically, as described further below, a first component is configured to generate dynamic stimulation data based on one or more received sound signals. The first component is configured to obtain static configuration data and to encode the dynamic stimulation data and the static configuration data into a series of isochronous wireless packets. The first component is configured to transmit the series of wireless packets over an isochronous wireless channel to a second component of the implantable medical device system.

摘要: Presented herein are low-power active bone conduction devices that comprise an actuator that is subcutaneously implanted within a recipient so as to deliver mechanical output forces to hard tissue of the recipient. The low-power active bone conduction devices include an energy recovery circuit configured to extract non-used energy from the actuator and to store the non-used energy for subsequent use by the actuator. The low-power active bone conduction devices may also include a multi-bit sigma-delta converter that operates in accordance with a scaled sigma-delta quantization threshold value to convert received signals representative of sound into actuator drive signals.

A multi-loop external charging device includes a plurality of coil/loop antennas that are each configured to emit a magnetic field that is received by an implantable coil of the implantable component. At least one characteristic (e.g., phases, amplitudes, etc.) of the emitted magnetic fields are varied relative to one another over time.
