摘要: A portable device and a method for entering a power-saving mode are provided. Audio stream is generated by an audio player, and an audio signal is generated according to the audio stream and then transmitted to an earphone via a cable by a digital-analog converter. At least one electrical characteristic on the cable is sensed to generate at least one sensing signal. The at least one sensing signal is sampled to generate at least one data signal. Whether the earphone is inserted into an ear canal is determined according to the at least one data signal. For determining whether the earphone is inserted into the ear canal, an impedance frequency response related to the earphone is obtained according to the at least one data signal, and whether the earphone is inserted into the ear canal is determined according to a characteristic of peaks of the impedance frequency response.

摘要: A hearing assistance system having a first hearing device worn at a first of a user's ears, a second hearing device worn at a second of the user's ears, and an external audio source device for transmitting an external audio data stream, each hearing device having an interface for wireless data exchange with the external device, including receipt of the external audio data stream, the hearing devices being adapted to establish a binaural link between the first and second hearing devices, the hearing assistance system being adapted to estimate the quality of at least one of the links from the external device to the hearing devices. The hearing assistance system is adapted to dynamically adjust the coding of the audio stream transmitted by the external device according to the estimated quality of the at least one of the links from the external device to the hearing devices.

摘要: Techniques for acoustic power coupling for mobile audio devices are described. In one or more implementations, a mobile audio device includes a device speaker with a membrane that produces audio output for the mobile audio device, an amplification circuit electrically connected to the device speaker, and a rechargeable battery electrically connected to the amplification circuit. In response to a deformation of the membrane by a force supplied by a force generator, an alternating (AC) voltage is produced on the amplification circuit. The amplification circuit optionally amplifies the AC voltage and converts the AC voltage to a direct (DC) voltage. The amplification circuit applies the DC voltage to the rechargeable battery to recharge the rechargeable battery.

摘要: A hearing device, such as a hearing aid, having a vibration sensitive transducer being adapted to detect vibrations being generated by a human voice, and a digital signal processor for processing signals from the vibration sensitive transducer in order to identify a predetermined human voice vibration signal being related to the voice of the user of the hearing device, and control the hearing device in accordance therewith. The vibration sensitive transducer is secured directly to a shell so that vibrations are detected via a skull of the user of the hearing device. An automatic method for controlling a hearing device, such as a hearing aid, is also disclosed.

摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a headphone or speaker assembly that contains two or more audio components that are configured to be magnetically coupled together by use of a complementary magnetic pole configuration in the headphone or speaker assembly to provide one or more useful functions. These useful functions may include elements that are able to sense that the two or more audio components are in contact with each other, or are at least proximate to each other, so that their audio playback capability can be suspended while they are in this unused state. A sensor located within one of the components can detect a change in the magnetic field and generate an electronic signal indicating a clasped condition.

摘要: A headphone detector including a headphone and a processor. The headphone has a microphone and a speaker, and the microphone is configured to generate an audio signal based on an output of the speaker. The processor is configured to receive the audio signal, determine a characteristic of the audio signal, and assess whether the headphone is on ear or off ear based on a comparison of the characteristic to a threshold. In another aspect, an off-ear detection (OED) system includes a headphone and an OED processor. The headphone has a speaker, a feedforward microphone, and a feedback microphone. The OED processor is configured to determine whether the headphone is off ear or on ear, based at least in part on a headphone audio signal, a feedforward microphone signal, and a feedback microphone signal.

The case includes one or more housing magnetic components configured to magnetically attract and secure the earbud within the receiving cavity. The one or more housing magnetic components can be configured to form a Halbach array to increase the magnetic force of the one or more housing magnetic components. The earbud includes a speaker magnet and a separate magnetic element that are arranged to be attracted to the one or more housing magnetic components such that the earbud is attracted into the receiving cavity.

摘要: This application relates to audio amplifier circuitry (100). An amplifier module (103) is located in a signal path between an input (101) and an output (102). A detection module (106) is configured to detect a characteristic of a load (104) electrically coupled, in use, to the output. A distortion setting controller (107) is provided for selecting one of a plurality of stored distortion settings {pi} based on the detected characteristic of the load; and a pre-distortion module (105) is configured to apply a first transfer function to a signal in the signal path prior to said amplifier module. The first transfer function is based on the selected distortion setting and for at least one of the stored distortion settings the corresponding first transfer function comprises a non-linear distortion function.

摘要: An audio jack detection circuit includes an impedance detecting circuit configured to generate a detection signal corresponding to an impedance between a ground pin and a ground detection pin, which are in contact with a ground terminal of an audio jack socket, and a controller configured to determine a state of the audio jack socket based on the detection signal. A detection range of the impedance detected by the impedance detector may be controlled by varying a resistance of a pull-up resistor connected to the ground detection pin.
