摘要: A lifting stroke of a platform (3), liftably/lowerably supported through a cross link (13a), of a traveling body (1) for conveyance is increased with a low floor structure of the traveling body (1) maintained. In a conveying apparatus having the lifting/lowering platform, there are laid a first cam rail (47A) working on a first to-be-operated portion (28) to lift the platform (3) to a middle height (H1) and a second cam rail (48) working on a second to-be-operated portion (29) to lift the platform (3) from the middle height (H1) to the maximum height (H2). The second to-be-operated portion (29) is provided at a middle bending fulcrum (36) of a toggle link (32) interposed between the cross link (13a) and a fixing position on the conveying traveler body (1) side. When the platform (3) is lifted to the middle height (H1), the toggle link (32) is extended such that both upper fulcrums (37, 39) are separated, relative to the middle bending fulcrum (36), to both the front and rear in the traveling direction. The second to-be-operated portion (29) in this extended state of the toggle link (32) is positioned below the first to-be-operated portion (28) in the same state.

摘要: A magnetic recording medium and a data reproducing apparatus are provided in which, with the use of a required number of bits, the address information may be reliably reproduced even during the track-traversing seek operation without increasing redundancy to the track specifying address information. On a magnetic disk, there are recorded track addresses in which, with the bits magnetized in the running direction of the magnetic head being 1 and with the bit magnetized in the opposite direction being 0, the direction of magnetization represents a Grey code, and data “1” in the air gap of the track address. A servo detection circuit has a viterbi decoder for viterbi decoding the reproduced signals of the track addresses and the playback signal for the air gap for reproducing the track addresses. This assures reliable decoding of the track addresses without increasing redundancy to the number of bits of the amount of information as the track addresses while the properties of the Grey code are maintained.

摘要: A data recording and/or reproducing apparatus which scans a head over a disc on which a servo pattern for moving the head to a predetermined position is recorded in an arc forming a part of a concentric circle. The apparatus comprises a track No. detector and fine signal detector, for detection of the servo pattern, a circumferential position detector to detect a circumferential position on the disc, an offset calculator to calculate an offset of a current position on the disc from the detected circumferential position, and a positional difference calculator. The calculated offset of the current position is added to the positioning signal to control the head scanning orbit on the disc to be spiral.

摘要: A movable member supported for movement on a track has a pressure receptor portion which faces laterally outward. An accelerating device in a horizontally held particular track portion of the track, at the upstream side thereof, acts upon the pressure receptor portion to apply high speed transport force to the movable member. A decelerating device at the downstream side of the particular track portion acts upon the pressure receptor portion to decelerate the movable member. The accelerating device acts upon the pressure receptor portion at the downstream side of the particular track portion, whereby high speed transport force is applied to the movable member so that the movable member may be transported at high speed on the horizontally held particular track portion. The decelerating device acts upon the pressure receptor portion of the movable member being transported at high speed, whereupon the movable member is decelerated. Movable members can be efficiently transported at high speed on the particular track portion and, therefore, the number of movable members present in the particular track portion can be reduced.

摘要: In a vacuum cleaner of the type arranged to stop a motor when a driven brush is overloaded due to engagement with carpet or other obstacles, a starter circuit responsive to a manually operable power switch is employed to start the motor. The rotation of the rotary brush is detected by way of a sensor which produces a voltage. The starter circuit produces another voltage for a given period of time after the power switch is turned on, and these voltages are fed to a latching circuit which produces a control voltage when neither of the first nor second voltage is applied thereto, and the control voltage causes a control unit to interrupt power to the electric motor. As a result, once the latching circuit is put in a latching state after the brush has stopped, the motor is prevented from starting again unless the power switch is turned on again.
