    摘要: A housing configured to accommodate a tire monitoring unit may include an extended portion, extending along a circumference of a wheel rim, and a pair of engaging members provided in parallel with the extended portion at opposite lateral sides thereof. A holder may be provided that is configured to accommodate the housing therein and to be secured to the wheel rim. The holder may include an open end portion, configured to receive therein the housing, and a holding portion configured to hold the extended portion. Also, the holder may include at least a pair of engaging portions provided in parallel with the holding portion at opposite lateral sides thereof and configured to engage with the engaging members, so that when the housing is inserted into the holder through the open end portion, with the extended portion being held in the holding portion, the engaging members are engaged with the engaging portions.

    摘要: A magnetic device which is highly durable, reliable, and safe without being damaged when a magnetic filed is applied. The magnetic device includes a cooling device having a cold head refrigerated by an effect of a cryogenic refrigerator, a magnetic field generation device configured to apply a non-stationary magnetic field on a magnetic body, and a cold head extension portion configured to thermally connect the magnetic body and the cold head. The cold head extension portion includes at least two members, one a low resistance member and the other a high resistance member having different resistivities. With this device, the eddy current generated in the cold head extension portion and the electromagnetic force produced in the cold head by the cold head extension portion are reduced.

    摘要: A superconductive ceramic composite material with high strength and capable of plastic deformation is prepared by mixing and sintering a superconductive powder represented by (RE.sub.x AE.sub.1-x).sub.1-y Cu.sub.y O.sub.z (RE represents Y or a rare-earth element having an atomic number of 57-71, or a combination of at least two of these elements, AE is at least one of alkaline earth elements Ca, Sr and Ba, x is 0.13-0.67, y is 0.25-0.67, and z is 1.08-1.17) and a metal powder M (M represents at least one of noble metals Rh, Pd, Ag, Ir, Pt and Au), in a defined ratio. The deformation (e.g., rolling) is followed by reheat-treatment (resintering). The powder mixture can be enclosed in a metallic capsule or made into a clad sheet by interposing the powder within two metallic sheets, and deformed (drawn or press formed into a desired shape) followed by sintering. The composite material may contain a superconductive network of such grains.

    摘要: A superconductive magnetic levitation apparatus is provided which is simple in structure, low in cost and is used for readily explaining superconducting phenomena such as the Meissner effect and the pinning effect. The superconductive magnetic levitation apparatus includes a levitation moving unit 5 including superconductors 4, and a heat insulative tank 51 for storing a coolant 52 for cooling the superconductors 4; and a track 3 arranged in confronted relation with the superconductors 4 of the levitation moving unit 5, the track 3 including a number of permanent magnets 2 fixed to a ferromagnetic metal plate 1. The permanent magnets 2 are composed of a plurality of series connected magnetic pieces having the same pole in a longitudinal direction of the track 3 and a plurality of parallel connected magnetic pieces having different poles in a transverse direction of the track 3.

    摘要: It is an object to provide a method whereby with respect to a microorganism present in an environment contaminated with tetrachloroethylene (PCE) and trichloroethylene (TCE), capability of the microorganism to degrade contaminants can be judged promptly.In order to achieve the above-described object, a biological activity judging method according to the present invention is a method of judging capability of a contaminated environment to eliminate an organochlorine compound, in which using a DNA probe that allows a bacterium to be detected specifically, which has a degradation activity with respect to the organochlorine compound and/or a dechlorinated product thereof, the bacterium in the environment is detected.The present invention also provides a new type of polynucleotide that can be used as a DNA probe in the biological activity judging method according to the present invention.

The receiving hole has an abut rib projecting from an inner surface in a radial direction. The holder receives the connector 4 and has an elastically deformable first positioning arm. When the holder is received in the receiving hole and fixed in the receiving body with the plate, the abut rib abuts on the first positioning arm, and the holder is aligned in a rotating direction about the receiving body.
